Under the tide of educational informatization,our government institutions and educational circles firmly grasp the trend of information technology revolution at home and abroad,and vigorously promote information literacy education.Influence by the economic level,teachers' information technology foundation,teaching environment and other factors,the information construction in Western China started late and started at a low level.It is urgent to further promote the education information,improve the application of teachers'information technology and the level of students'information literacy,narrow the digital gap between Western China and other developed regions,and promote the overall education equity in China.Although domestic studies has found that teachers are the key factors affecting students' information literacy,the empirical studies for the western region is quite scarce.What is the information literacy level of primary and secondary school students in the western region?Can the application of teachers'information technology really affect the information literacy of primary and secondary school students in Western China?What aspects of teacher information technology application can have a direct impact on the development of students'information literacy?What is the way to affect the student's information literacy development?Based on this,this study decided to make an empirical study on the relationship between the application of teacher's information technology and the information literacy level of primary and secondary school students in Western China,trying to explain these problems.Based on the research work of information literacy evaluation of primary and secondary school students carried out by the research group,this study designed the"Student Information Literacy Assessment Tool" and the "Survey Questionnaire on Information Technology Application in Primary and Secondary School Teachers" on the basis of literature review,expert argumentation and empirical analysis to investigate primary and secondary school students and teachers in the Western China.By using multiple regression,stepwise regression,Bootstrap and Sobel test analysis to discusses the relationship between the application of teachers' information technology and the information literacy of primary and secondary school students in the Western China,the conclusuins are as follows:(1)The information literacy level of elementary and secondary school students in the Western China is not high,and they are relatively weak in information knowledge and skills,information thinking and behavior.(2)Teachers'use of ICT to promote students'learning,teachers'positive attitude towards the application of ICT in teaching,teachers' cooperative use of ICT with other teachers have a significant positive effect on the level of primary school students' information literacy.Teachers'ICT self-efficacy,teachers' use of ICT to promote teaching,teachers' negative attitude towards the application of ICT in teaching have a significant negative impact on the level of primary school students' information literacy.Teachers' ICT self-efficacy,teachers'use ICT promoting teaching,teachers' cooperative use of ICT with other teachers in teaching have significant positive effects on the level of secondary school students'information literacy.Teachers' positive attitude towards the application of ICT in teaching and teachers' negative attitude towards the application of ICT in teaching have a significant negative impact on the level of secondary school students' information literacy,and the situation of teachers' use of ICT to promote students' learning has no significant impact on the level of secondary school students' information literacy.(3)For primary school students in Western China,students' ICT self-efficacy plays a part of intermediary role between teachers' ICT self-efficacy and students' information literacy level,students'ICT self-efficacy plays a part of intermediary role between teachers' use of ICT to promote student learning and students' information literacy level,students' ICT self-efficacy plays a part of intermediary role between teachers' positive attitudes towards the application of ICT in teaching and students' information literacy level.For secondary school students in Western China,students' ICT self-efficacy plays a part of intermediary role between teachers' ICT self-efficacy and students' information literacy level,students'ICT self-efficacy plays a part of intermediary role between teachers' positive attitudes towards the application of ICT in teaching and students' information literacy level,students' ICT self-efficacy plays a part of intermediary role between teachers'cooperative use of ICT with other teachers and students' information literacy level.Based on the results of the data analysis,the author puts forward the following suggestions:(1)Strengthen the improvement of students' weak ability and promote the development of students' information literacy.(2)Improve students ' ICT self-efficacy and promote the development of students' information literacy.(3)To promote the development of students' information literacy by improving teachers ICT self-efficacy,using ICT to promote students' learning,positive attitude towards the application of ICT in teaching,and strengthening the use of ICT in cooperation with other teachers in teaching.
