At the beginning of the 20 th century,the concept of thematic teaching emerged in the United States.Then,it was applied to the language teaching in Europe and the United States.At present,the subject-type teaching model has also been applied to the relevant language teaching by our country.Its research and application in English teaching are extensive.In recent years,the theme-based teaching model has gradually received attention and favor from the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This is evident in the study of the theme of teaching Chinese as a foreign language is increasing.This thesis is based on the theory of constructivism in psychology,the theory of recent development area,the theory of transfer and the theory of linguistic language input hypothesis,from the point of view of Teaching Chinese in primary schools in Thailand,and on the basis of studying the research results of other scholars,this paper takes into account the age,Chinese proficiency,learning motivation,learning interest,learning style and teaching conditions and teaching requirements of most schools in Thailand.Taking Jeachai School where the author teaches as an example,combined with the author's nine-month teaching practice in Thailand,through the specific teaching design,implementation and evaluation of the theme of "travel plans",this model is discussed in the practice of Chinese teaching in Thailand and how this model can be better used in Thai primary school Chinese classroom.It puts forward reasonable and feasible suggestions.This paper is divided into five parts.Among them,the first part is the introduction,mainly includes the origin,the purpose,the significance and the theme teaching pattern of the topic in the domestic and foreign research present situation and the research content,the research method.The second part mainly explains the related problems of thematic teaching mode,including the connotation,theoretical basis,and characteristics of thematic teaching mode.The third part is the overall teaching design part,based on the analysis of the Chinese teaching conditions and the feasibility of the implementation of the thematic teaching model in the public school,the overall thematic teaching design is carried out for the Chinese language classroom in the public school,and a study isestablished according to the principle of theme selection about teaching topics and language points.The fourth part is the concrete teaching design,taking the "travel plan" as an example,from the teaching content and the teaching process and other aspects,has displayed the concrete teaching design case.The fifth part summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the theme-based teaching model in Thailand's public schools based on the students' evaluation of subject-based teaching and teacher-based teaching.Finally,the conclusion summarizes the research content of this paper and the shortcomings of this study.
