| Parent education is an educational process that helps parents to form a good parent quality on the basis of providing parents with knowledge and skills about raising children.Because parents take the main responsibility and are the most important persons who provide home education,and the dual-career family is the most common family structure in China's mainland.Meanwhile,the era of junior high school is the accelerative period and turning point,so junior high school students' physical and mental condition are not stable,presenting different kinds of special performance and contradiction and resulting in a series of adolescent problems.Based on these conditions,dual-career family's parents produce strong needs on parent education.Hence,the research object in this paper is limited to junior high school students' parents from dual-career familys.This paper comprehensively uses literature research methods,questionnaire survey methods and statistical analysis methods to clarify the actual needs of dual-career parents of junior high school students in Chengdu,Sichuan Province,and the problems and reasons for their parents' educational needs,and then explores the countermeasures to promote the parent education of the dual-careerr families in China,with a view to providing a reference for the development of parent education in China.This study mainly includes five parts:First,the origin of the research is described;the core concepts are defined;the relevant literature and theoretical basis are combed;the purpose,significance,difficulties and innovations of this research are analyzed;the research methods and research ideas of this paper are introduced.Secondly,the research design of this study is explained.Including the determination of research tools and the pre-test work of the questionnaire.Then,the researcher introduces dual-career family's current needs on parent education.On the one hand,a questionnaire survey was conducted on 304 dual-career parents.Through data statistics,processing and analysis,it was found that the dual-career family's needs on parent education include two aspects: needs of the implementing content on parent education,needs of the implementation ways on parent education.On the other hand,the researcher conducted interviews with 3 dual-career parents,junior high school children,and junior high school teachers in order to understand their respective demands and claims for parent education.Further,combined with the above questionnaire survey results and interview survey results,it is found that the current parent education needs of dual-career families have the following problems: the need is more utilitarian;the need is one-sided;the level of need is lower;the implicit need has yet to be tapped by parents.At the same time,based on the above-mentioned current situation of parents 'educational needs of dual-career families and the analysis of the problems in their needs,combined with relevant literature,the author finds that the reasons of these problems: social utilitarian thought penetrating in the family,the parents hold the old education concept;affected by the cultural background,the parents do not fully understand the children's comprehensive development;the reality of the contradiction between work and study,it is difficult for parents to invest too much time and energy for in-depth learning;improperly designed activities of educational institutions fail to better guide the development of parents' educational needs;affected by the level of education,parents have not yet put forward developmental needs;parents' awareness of parent education is not correct fully,and parents have not yet discovered their own hidden needs.Finally,based on the above analysis,the researcher proposes countermeasures from three aspects: the state and society,educational institutions,and the parents themselves.Only when all parties are actively involved can the parent education of dual-career families be truly effective,and parents of dual-career families can really benefit from it. |
