In his speech,General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: "A person can only use it well if he is well-known,ethical,and strict".The public spirit,as an important embodiment and internal requirement of "observance of ethics," in the society of today.The role is becoming more and more obvious.Guided by the core values of socialism,the public spirit requires people to have a strong public awareness,consciously maintain socialist democracy and the rule of law,fairness and justice,adhere to the unity of rights and obligations,and at the same time be able to actively participate in social life under the guidance of public reason and maintain society at all times.Caring,promoting the spirit of patriotism,serving the spirit of dedication,understanding the spirit of tolerance,etc.,abide by the rules,have responsibilities,and take responsibility.As an important reserve force for national development and social construction,junior high school students' cultivation of their public spirit is of great significance and role to the personal growth of students,social harmony and national development,and it also contributes to the achievement of the fundamental educational mission of fostering character and civic virtue.In addition,"Compulsory Education Ideological and Moral Curriculum Standards(2011 Edition)" also clearly "has a public spirit" as one of the junior high school moral and rule of law curriculum objectives.Therefore,this study aims to clarify the public spirit and the connotation of the public spirit of junior high school students,and to clarify the meaning and goal of cultivating the public spirit of junior high school students.Explore the cultivation content of the public spirit,and then put forward targeted optimization strategies in order to better play the important role of the Morality and Rule of Law textbook in the cultivation of public spirit.This study contains four parts:First,solve the two basic questions of "what is the public spirit of junior high school students" and "why should we cultivate the public spirit of junior high school students".To clarify the connotation of the public spirit of junior high school students and the important value and significance of cultivating the public spirit of junior high school students: to implement the core values of socialism and make the core values in mind;to promote the moral construction of citizens in the new era to meet the needs of a harmonious society;to strengthen the civic awareness of junior high school students Education to train qualified citizens of socialism.Secondly,to solve the important question of "what kind of goal must be achieved to cultivate the public spirit of junior high school students".Combining the relevant theoretical explanations of the public spirit,the "Compulsory Education Ideological and Moral Curriculum Standards(2011 Edition)" and other important documents,as well as the physical and mental development laws and learning characteristics of junior high school students,the goal of cultivating the public spirit of junior high school students can be summarized into the following four items: To strive to be a "public person";strengthen the public rationality of junior high school students and learn to be a "rational person";cultivate public care for junior high school students and be willing to be a "hearted person";enhance the sense of public responsibility of junior high school students and be a "responsible person".Thirdly,solve the core problem of "how to select and design the content of the teaching material Morality and Rule of Law in order to achieve the goal of cultivating the public spirit of junior high school students.The content analysis method is used to sort out the content of public spirit contained in the textbook,and on this basis,the public spirit's presentation and discourse expression are further analyzed.After a systematic analysis of the cultivation content,combined with interviews with teachers in the first-line moral and rule of law courses,some problems still exist in the cultivation of the public spirit of junior high school students.Finally,on the basis of fully discussing the above issues,on the key issue of "how to make the teaching materials of Morality and Rule of Law play a better role in cultivating the public spirit of junior high school students",try to put forward relevant suggestions and optimization strategies in order to give full play to The important role of the textbook "Ethics and Rule of Law" in cultivating students' public spirit.
