Reading is the foundation of Chinese education.It is an important process for students to obtain information,broaden their horizons,enrich their cognition,and continuously improve themselves.A person's ability to understand,express,and write is closely related to reading ability.The single text teaching and networked reading environment in today's classroom are more limited in cultivating students' core literacy.Based on this,the entire book reading,which is an important way to improve reading ability,is valued.It can promote students to develop reading habits,master reading methods,and continuously improve their self-cultivation.As a representative of documentary literature,"Red star over China" is selected into the unified textbook,on the one hand,it aims to let students master the reading methods of documentary works,and on the other hand,it aims to guide students to inherit revolutionary culture.This paper takes " Red star over China" as the research object,carries out a field investigation in the attached middle school of Yan'an vocational college,and understands the problems encountered in the whole book reading teaching process.At the same time,using the relevant theories and research for reference,this paper puts forward the corresponding teaching strategies,and further verifies its feasibility and effectiveness in practiceThe paper consists of six parts.The introduction discusses the background,research significance and current research situation at home and abroad.The second part summarizes the whole book reading,the documentary literature and the concept and theoretical basis.The third part,based on the investigation of teachers and students,analyzes the current situation of the whole book "Red star over China".The fourth part isbased on the investigation of the current situation,aiming at the problems,puts forward the corresponding strategies for the reading teaching of the whole book " Red star over China",which are divided into four stages: before reading-arousing interest,pointing out methods;when reading-finding the incision,entering the characters;when reading-based on the style,feeling the truth;after reading-expanding and extending,inheriting the spirit,making teachers,students and reading together.In the fifth part,through classroom observation and after class feedback,the author summarizes the achievements of this teaching and reflects on them,in order to provide some new ideas for the whole book reading.The sixth part is the conclusion,which is the summary of the whole thesis.It expounds the function of this research and the prospect of the whole book reading research.
