The revolutionary traditional works have profound cultural deposits and rich moral education resources,which is an important content of Chinese teaching in junior middle school.As a way to improve students' reading quality,the whole book reading has gradually become a hot topic in the field of Chinese education.Therefore,it is of great theoretical value and practical significance to explore the teaching of reading the whole book of revolutionary traditional works.This paper adopts the methods of inductive statistics,questionnaire and literature research,and on the basis of understanding the teaching experience and deficiencies of front-line teachers,taking “Red Star Over China”,the compulsory reading book of the first volume of eighth grade as the teaching object,tries to put forward some feasible teaching strategies for reading the whole book of revolutionary traditional works.The first chapter,on the basis of defining the core concepts,makes statistics and analysis on the selection of single and whole works of revolutionary tradition in the humanities Edition of 2013 and the current partial compilation of junior high school Chinese textbooks.Through sorting out the revolutionary traditional works and reading the whole book are in a higher position in this textbook.Through the analysis of these texts,it is found that the revolutionary traditional works have rich ideological and political value,aesthetic value and cultural value.The teaching of reading the whole book of revolutionary traditional works can not only make up for the lack of in-depth reading of students,but also imperceptibly improve students' comprehensive Chinese literacy.The second chapter mainly discusses the unique value of "Red Star Over China".Through the analysis of "Red Star Over China",it is found that "Red Star Over China" combines literature,history and politics,and depicts a rich group of characters from the perspective of the other.The book recorded historical facts,restored the true image of the Soviet area and the Red Army,promoted patriots to go to Yan 'an,and promoted the communication between China and the world.Selecting "Red Star Over China" as the teaching object can effectively improve students speech quality,develop their thinking quality,improve their aesthetic ability and cultivate their cultural confidence.The third chapter uses the form of questionnaire to understand the reading teaching status of the whole book of revolutionary traditional works in junior middle school.Through the analysis of the questionnaire found that students in traditional revolutionary class work is lack of initiative and reading the whole book reading time limited,read the problem such as superficial,teachers in teaching in teaching Chinese flavour,lack of effective reading instruction,teaching practice is relatively thin,such problems as lack of effective teaching evaluation.The fourth chapter is based on the problems reflected in the reading teaching of the whole book of revolutionary traditional works,take “Red Star Over China” as an example,from strengthen instruction in class and read independently after class;Closely related to the content of revolutionary traditional works,selected topics;Enrich the forms of activities,create historical situations,use the local red resources,enrich students' emotional experience;Improve the evaluation system,improve reading quality and so on,try to put forward targeted teaching strategies.
