China has always attached importance to history education, and it has been used as a basic curriculum in schools at all levels, especially in middle school.History textbooks,as an important carrier and medium for imparting historical knowledge, play an important role in cultivating citizenship. In the thesis, the content of the French Revolution in the textbooks since the founding of the People's Republic of China was used as the research object.Through text analysis and comparative analysis, the content of the French Revolution involved in textbooks was comprehensively analyzed, and the reasons for its changes were explored. In order to highlight the prominent role of French history, especially the history of the French Revolution in cultivating citizenship. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part is the introduction part.It mainly explains the research significance of the topic selection, defines the related concepts, and analyzes the research status of the French Revolution history and textbooks at home and abroad. The second part is the key content of the article, including chapters 1-3.It mainly describes the changes in the content of the French bourgeois revolution in high school history textbooks in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, after the reform and opening up,and after the new curriculum reform.Reveal the basic trend of its changes, analyze the reasons for the content changes, and put forward personal opinions on the key content. The third part is a summary statement of the contents of the previous three chapters, that is to summarize the characteristics of the content of the French Revolution and summarize the implications of the content of the French Revolution in the history textbook writing and teaching practice. The innovation of the article is to longitudinally study the changes in the content of the French Revolution in textbooks in different periods, and to combine the academic achievements of the French Revolution with history teaching in middle schools to promote effective learning in the classroom. The shortcoming lies in the lack of relevant theoretical foundations, and the study of the French Revolution is just a bit of a dagger.
