As the landmark event in the modern history of the world,the French Revolution occupies an important position in the high school history textbooks of various countries,and the writings of different countries are also not the same.This article selects representative high school history textbooks from China,Britain and the United States for analysis.The paper consists of three parts: introduction,main body and conclusion.The introduction discusses the reasons for selecting the topic and conducts an academic review of the research on this topic.The main body is divided into three chapters.The first chapter mainly presents the writings of the Three countries' textbooks on the French Revolution,including the description of the texts and the compilation of the various columns in the textbooks.The second chapter compares the written features of the three countries' textbooks in detail.On the whole,Chinese textbook is concise,and present a linear narrative style,focusing on the consolidation of basic content.The textbook of the United States shows a diversity of features,narratives are more objective,and they focus on cultivating historical thinking such as chronological thinking.The most detailed description of British textbooks reflects the academic characteristics and focuses on the cultivation of skills.The third chapter analyzes the reasons for the different writings of the three countries' textbooks.Textbooks reflect the will of the state,the development of countries is different,then the values of the subjects will be different,the curriculum standards that reflect the will of the country will also be different.The curriculum standards are the basis for textbook writing,textbooks written accordingly have obvious different focuses.The review system of textbooks in different countries is different,the comprehension of this history by the writers of British and American textbooks,the absorption of historical research results,and the influence of society on them are reflected in the compilation of textbooks.The conclusion has a deeper analysis of the compilation of the different characteristics of the three countries' textbooks.From the interaction of memory with textbooks,the integration of "the other" and "self",and the requirements of core qualities,we hope to provide some references for the compilation of our country's textbooks.
