The progress of social life is more and more restricted by the development of science and technology.The cultivation of innovative talents has become an important requirement for the development of education in China.Deep learning plays an important role in improving learning efficiency and promoting the development of higher-order thinking.This study attempts to use the teaching philosophy of deep learning to guide the development of geography theme in high schools to improve the effect of theme teaching,and to enhance students' learning efficiency,and to cultivate higher-order thinking development of students.Through specific teaching design and implementation cases,it provides a reference for geography teachers in high school to carry out geography theme teaching.The article mainly includes the following six sections:The first part is introduction.It consulted and combed the literature on deep learning and theme teaching in databases such as CNKI and Duxiu,and reviewed the research on deep learning and theme teaching,and determined the research direction,methods,content and ideas.The second part is the core concepts and theoretical basis.This part mainly discusses the core concepts in the thesis: deep learning and the concepts of deep learning,geographic themes and geographic theme teaching,and geography theme teaching in high school under the concept of deep learning.Introducing the related theories involved in this thesis: taxonomy of educational objectives theory,theory of constructivism,and theory of cognitivism.The third part is the survey of status.Through the questionnaire survey to grasp the current situation of high school students' geography learning,asking students' opinions on geography teaching,and analyzing the influencing factors of student performance,to find a breakthrough to promote students' deep learning.Through the teacher interviews,grasping implementation status of geography theme teaching in high school,collecting the suggestions of teachers on the implementation of geography theme teaching,and grasping the focus of the theme teaching design.The fourth part is the design of theme teaching.Based on the existing research results of many scholars,and combined with the current situation of geography learning of high school students and the implementation status of theme teaching,starting from the teaching ideas advocated by deep learning,and the design principles,design requirements,design procedures,and evaluation of geography theme teaching in high school are proposed.The fifth part is the implementation of theme teaching.Using the design of theme teaching “location factors of the city”,carrying out theme teaching in the second grade,comparing it with the traditional teaching mode,analyzing the implementation effect of theme teaching.It is found that theme teaching can improve students' concentration in class.This study summarizes the implementation process of theme teaching,puts forward four points to implement the theme teaching: setting effective questions,grasping the main line of teaching,creating fun classrooms and solving students' problems.The sixth part is conclusion.Summarizing the main results of the research in this article,and considering the shortcomings of this article,and looking forward to the research.
