Woodcut engraving imagination is not only a means of expression,but also a comprehensive form of art creation.Printmaking is a process of free reconstruction of spiritual consciousness.Imagination is not a wild horse,but a rooted Ping.It is based on the boundary of experience,but beyond the reality of freedom.In the art class of junior high school,woodcut prints are used for imagination cultivation.Through the penetration of imagination thinking and creation in the aspects of woodcut prints composition mood,color modeling and creation pursuit,students can understand woodcut prints more deeply and apply imagination to art creation.In the research,firstly,the relationship between woodcut teaching and students' imagination training in junior high school is analyzed,which shows that woodcut has a positive effect on students' imagination training.Then,from the psychological characteristics of junior high school students and woodcut printmaking characteristics of two perspectives on the feasibility of Printmaking Teaching for students' imagination training.By using the method of questionnaire,the author chooses six middle school art teachers and four middle school students as the objects of investigation,and finds that there are some problems in the teaching of woodcut engraving,such as attaching importance to imitation,neglecting creation,emphasizing skills,neglecting imagination,paying attention to results and neglecting process.Based on the survey results,the paper puts forward the specific strategies for the cultivation of students' imagination in the teaching of art woodcut prints in junior high school.In the teaching of art woodcut prints in junior high school,the content of copying should be determined according to students' interests,and the teaching strategies related to copying should be carried out,so that copying can turn to the cultivation of imagination.Students should be encouraged to be good at observing life,imagining freely,and carrying out the teaching related to life,Pay attention to the sublimation of perception so that students can improve their "eyesight" in the intuitive sense;combine with national culture to create prints,carry out teaching strategies related to other disciplines,combine with national culture to design prints,and propose to change the traditional evaluation methods to provide effective incentives for students' bold imagination.After a semester of teachingpractice,combined with the experience of teachers and students,this paper points out the limitations of students' imagination in the design and development of woodcut printmaking activities and in the process of creation,and points out that the future development direction of junior high school art woodcut Printmaking Teaching for students' imagination training should be more excavation of local characteristics and skills,and at the present time of rapid development of Internet technology,strengthen the communication between different schools Flow communication,teachers to strengthen their own learning accumulation,students to enrich their own concrete reserves,teachers and students interactive teaching.In a word,applying woodcut to the art class of junior high school,constantly improving students' imagination in art practice,letting students use various techniques in Woodcut language for continuous exploration,and learning to deal with the relationship between the inheritance and development of traditional culture and the contemporary development of art education in art education,has also enlightened their minds.
