The Impact Assessment Of Business Process Reengineering On The Scholarships Sector

The Business Process Reengineering is one of the most important administrative methods in the international arena for restructuring business organisations in an electronic business environment.For the importance and modernity of this concept,this study was conducted on the scholarship sector in Yemen.This study included department managers,heads of departments,as well as senior mission personnel from engineers,accountants and administrators to study the reengineering evaluation of administrative processes in the scholarship sector.The objectives of this study are to evaluate the Business Process Reengineering in the scholarship sector and to indicate the importance of Business Process Reengi neering in designing the organisational structure and improving job performance.The study is based on the descriptive approach,where a questionnaire included seven parts and distributed on 125 surveys.A total of 120 questionnaires were returned which represent 96% of the required sample size.Five questionnaires were excluded for completeness,and then the number was 115.The study also relied on many previous studies,literature,research and reports related to the subject.For validity,it was presente d to 5 specialised and experienced arbitrators.The stability of the study instrument was calculated in the internal consistency method by calculating an equation where the total degree of stability factor was 93% for the Cronbach alpha,and thus the measu rement instrument achieved a high degree of stability.The study found several results,most notably the need for the business sector to re-engineer business processes.Information technology showed that the interest of the IT scholarship sector is inadequ ate and that the scholarship sector needs to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative processes.This study aims to Improve performance level.The study suggests the senior management must understand the importance of Business Process Reengineering and adopt them in the section of scholarship to improve the level of administrative performance,address the inflatement of organisational structures,reduce the overlap of powers and responsibilities.
