The unified edition of junior high school Chinese teaching materials is jointly compiled by Professor Wen Rumin,director of the Institute of Chinese Education of Peking University,and many front-line teachers who are experts in education.In February 2019,the unified edition of the second volume of the ninth grade Chinese textbook was published and put into teaching.In junior high school Chinese textbooks,novels,a literary genre,have a certain proportion of possess,which is an important part of junior high school Chinese teaching.By studying the unified edition of junior high school novel texts,it can not only provide convenience for students to understand the historical features of our country and foreign societies,but also help students absorb the cultural spirit contained in the novel texts and feel its unique aesthetic characteristics.From the comparison of the novels in the unified edition junior high school Chinese textbook and the PEP junior high school Chinese textbook,we find that the selected novels in the unified edition have the following characteristics: although the proportion of the selected novels in the junior high school novels is declining,the number of classic novels is increasing instead.The theme of the selection is more concentrated;The selection is also more evenly distributed.The arrangement of unified edition novels has the following characteristics: the selection of novels develops from scattered arrangement to centralized arrangement.The content of the selected text changes from easy to difficult.The arrangement of the reading aid system for the selected texts of novels is clearer,especially in the self-reading texts of novels.Compared with the Chinese Curriculum Standard,the unified edition of junior high school Chinese novels shows that the novels pay more attention to the promotion of traditional culture,the cultivation of students' personality and the cultivation of students' appreciation of multi-culture.In terms of arrangement,the selected novels are more in line with the law of physical and mental development of junior high school students,which can better cultivate students' cognitive ability and pay more attention to the cultivation of students' autonomous learning ability.According to the characteristics and value orientation of the unified edition of junior high school Chinese novels,teachers should attach importance to the extension of the novels and the traditional culture.Starting from the teaching content of the novel,it focuses on enhancing students' aesthetic ability from the structure,characters and plot of the novel.Design various activities to promote students' understanding and experience of the novel content,characters and story background.
