Pupils' psychological security in class is indispensable for students to learn efficiently and teachers to teach effectively.Psychological security-deprivation will not only damage students' academic performance and teachers' teaching efficiency directly,but also weaken students' physical and mental health development.Though quality-oriented education and happy learning is being promoted vigorously,in class,some students are still evade teachers' questions,unwilling to participate in cooperative learning that is designed for a group of pupils,and even appear to be tired of learning,fear of learning or flee from school,due to excess stress,anxiety or fear.Those are all signs of sense of insecurity in class.The students in private boarding school is generally diverse and special---being away from their parents,the students live and study at school for a long time,with a lack of parent-child communication;the cultural literacy and behavioral performance in private school as a whole are not as good as those in public schools;some of them come from one-parent,combined or foster family,so the special growth environment has shaped their sensitive and vulnerable minds.As a special existence,private boarders' security in class is worth paying attention to.The X school in Fuqing city is a typical private boarding school with a history of more than 20 years.By using the method of literature review,classroom observation,questionnaire,interview and statistical analysis,this research chooses the junior middle school students in X school as the subject in order to find the status quo of students' sense of safety in private boarding school classroom and subsequently explore the possible factors which has caused the sense of insecurity.Based on those,this study puts forward different improvement strategies from the perspective of teachers,schools and parents,so as to promote students' involvement in class,increase successful learning experience and create a harmonious classroom atmosphere.
