Case Work On Mediation Of Rural Family Disputes

In recent years,due to the rapid development of our society,the rural families have been affected seriously,representing the increase of family disputes in rural areas,the absence of rural family leaders as mediators and the weakness of rural mediation organizations.Normal family disputes may break up one's family.A true portrayal of the modern transformation of rural society represents the alienation of rural relationships,the reduction of family binding and the lack of cohesion.Family disputes are also“family scandal”which is generally regarded as“not public”.The rural characteristics of family disputes make the concept of “not public” more prominent in rural areas.Maintaining the harmony and stability of the vast rural areas,and mediating the rural family disputes effectively becomes a problem in nowadays society.The author takes family disputes in T town Gaoan County Yichun City Jiangxi Province as the research subject area,by analyzing the recent family disputes using social work knowledge,trying to make a deep comprehensive analysis of a family dispute between Xie and Chen in C village as social worker in local people ' s mediation organization.During the progress of mediation,a full mediation process was made in this family dispute using case study method with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to disputes party,and the family leader was empowered in order to increase their initiative and positiveness,consulting with them many times using professional social work skills,then they finally not only reached an accommodation,but also inspired family cohesion,and their family harmony and stability are guaranteed.Through the action of using case work to mediate family disputes in rural area with social worker in people's mediation organization,some experience and reflection we can conclude.
