Employment is the biggest livelihood.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,China has made tremendous achievements in employment work.The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China stated that it is necessary to achieve higher quality and full employment,improve the quality of employment and the level of people's income.In recent years,the number of college graduates in China has increased year by year.There were 7.95 million graduates in 2017 and 8.2 million graduates in 2018.Improving the employment satisfaction of college graduates is an important part of promoting and improving the overall employment quality of the country.The employment satisfaction of college graduates is a test of the level of talent training in colleges and universities,as well as feedback on local government employment policies and the current social employment environment.As a rapidly developing central city,Wuhan has the number of college students in the forefront of the country,but there is a serious talent gap.The talents cultivated by many universities in Wuhan have flowed more to economically developed areas such as the coastal areas.After consulting the relevant literature,it is found that the level of employment satisfaction of college graduates is directly related to whether the locals can retain talents.Based on the purpose of retaining more talents for Wuhan and helping Wuhan to better build and develop.This article starts with the employment satisfaction of college graduates in Wuhan,by taking the college graduates staying in Wuhan as the survey object,and using a combination of literature collection,questionnaires,and interviews to investigate and analyze the present situation and causes of the employment satisfaction of college graduates staying in Wuhan.The survey data shows that currently the overall employment satisfaction of college graduates staying in Wuhan is at a medium level.Low satisfaction in terms of salary and benefits,job intensity,job training,career development etc.indicates that they have greater needs in these areas.At the same time,the differences in basic conditions such as school type,academic level,major and internship experience have a great impact on employment satisfaction.However,in this study,it is found that gender differences have less influence on the employment satisfaction of college graduates staying in Wuhan.This is different from the results of previous national surveys by some agencies.According to the survey results,this study analyzes the current causes of employment satisfaction of college graduates staying in Wuhan,and finally con cludes the causes to four levels: individual students,universities,employers,an d society.According to the survey results and the analysis of the causes,feasi ble countermeasures and suggestions are given on the improvement of college graduates' employment satisfaction: First of all,the improvement of the compre hensive ability of college students is the most basic and critical requirement fo r the improvement of employment satisfaction.Meanwhile,college education an d government policies are the important guarantee for the improvement of emp loyment satisfaction of college graduates.Finally,the effective reform of emplo yers is also conducive to the improvement of employment satisfaction of colle ge graduates.
