In recent years, there has been a continuous decline in the physical health level of teenagers in China. Some of them have low physical fitness, especially the strength quality and endurance quality, which has become a major problem of concern to all sectors of the society.School physical education is the key to improve the physical fitness of young people. We should take effective methods and means to practice for the weak physical fitness. Therefore, this paper discusses the effect of circuit interval training on the development of junior high school students' physical fitness by using the circuit interval training in the physical fitness part of the preparatory grade of Quyang No.2 Middle School in Shanghai. The physical fitness of high school students is mainly reflected by selecting the items in the national physical fitness test standard and the guidance manual for the teaching and training of young people's physical fitness(applicable to primary and secondary school students aged 6-18).This research mainly adopts the methods of literature, experiment, data statistics and expert interview. In the preparatory grade of Quyang No.2 Middle School in Shanghai, two classes are randomly selected and one of them is the experimental class(37n)and the other is the control class(36n).The experiment class adopts the circuit interval training in the physical fitness exercise part;the control class adopts the teaching routine exercise. Before and after the experiment, the body function and physical fitness were tested twice. The experimental data were analyzed by spss21.0 independent sample t-test and paired sample t-test to study the influence of circuit interval training on the development of junior high school students' physical fitness. The following conclusions are drawn:1.Compared with the traditional practice method, the circuit interval training can improve the physical fitness and function of junior high school preparatory students in an all-round way.Among them, the vital capacity, endurance quality, speed quality, abdominal strength and lower limb strength are significantly improved.2.After 12 weeks of intermittent exercise, the growth range of physical fitness and physical function level in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, but the growth range of sitting body forward bending and kneeling pushing solid ball was not obvious. The reasons for the lack of obvious improvement in sitting forward flexion are: the arrangement of practice means has no great relationship with flexibility;the air temperature is low during the test, and the muscle viscosity is poor;the reasons for the lack of obvious improvement in kneeling and pushing the solid ball are: the lack of mastering the correct technical action and the increase in the strength of the upper limbs is small.3.Before and after the experiment, the physical functions of the boys and girls in the experimental group were significantly improved, except kneeling and pushing the solid ball and sitting body forward bending, the other physical fitness were significantly improved, which indicated that the boys and girls had improved their abdominal strength, lower limb strength, endurance and speed through the circuit interval training. The comparison of physical function and physical fitness between male and female students in the experimental group and the control group showed that the improvement of most indexes in the experimental group was more obvious, but the improvement of sitting forward and kneeling pushing solid ball was not obvious, and the improvement of sitting forward in the male control group was higher than that in the experimental group.
