Language in education planning is one of the types of language planning,and it is a language planning in the microscopic field.Language education programs focus on language policy relates to teaching ideas,goals,content,and implementation,and how to achieve these goals in education.It can be seen that the perspective of language education planning is a comprehensive research perspective that transcends the language teaching process itself from the context of the teaching and the factors involved.Studying the education of several countries or regions in a language or a language from the perspective of language in education planning is of great significance for understanding the language education in the country or region.Although the development of Chinese language education in public schools in the Philippines has been less than ten years ago,it has developed rapidly and has a wide coverage.The rapid development in the short term is often accompanied by many problems,as is the Chinese language education in public middle schools in the Philippines.Therefore,this study takes the Chinese language education in public schools in Cebu,Philippines as the research object,and uses the perspective of language in education planning to describe the current situation of Chinese language education in public middle schools in the region,analyze its existing problems and provide development suggestions for the future development of Chinese language education in public schools in the Philippines.Based on the theory of language in education planning,based on the data and materials of field research,the author analyzes the current situation of Chinese language education in public schools in Cebu,Philippines from six aspects:support strength,teaching objects,curriculum,teaching materials,teacher composition and test evaluation.Point out the problems and provide suggestions from the Philippine government,the Confucius Institute at Angles City University,the management of Philippine public schools,and Chinese teachers in order to help the development of Chinese language teaching in public schools in the Philippines.
