Positive Discipline and its educational concept originated in the United Statesffrom 40 years ago,and was jointly innovated and advocated by American educators and psychologists Nelson and Lott.It is theoretically based on the individual psychology of the Austrian psychoanalytic psychologist Adler;In the process of its formation,American psychologist Dreikurs developed on the basis of Adler's new individual psychology thought also made an important contribution.Historically,positive discipline was first used as a parenting training course oriented towards family education practice,which gained wide attention and development due to its effectiveness,and was gradually applied to school education and classroom management.It againsts the punishment and pampered,claims kind and firm in parallel to help parents with individual psychology thoughts and a variety of methods to solve the daily parenting challenge,help children to establish a relationship of mutual respect and cooperation training children in all kinds of life skills and social skills,self-confidence,self-discipline,and find a guide children has a strong inner strength growth path in family life.Based on the actual conditions of our country and the analysis of the current situation of family education in our country,this paper conducts a systematic research on positive discipline and its educational concepts,with a view to contributing to the development of family education in China.The paper first reviews the social and historical background of the birth of positive discipline,specifically and in-depth explains the related conceptual background of positive discipline and its core concepts,goals,and methods.After combining the results of empirical research on positive discipline at home and abroad,this paper reviews the actual effects of positive discipline and the current status of research on positive discipline.Then by digging its educational ideas,it expounds the theoretical basis of its psychology,and further explains the spiritual essence of positive discipline.and the comparative study with other related studies confirms that positive discipline respects and promotes children's physical and mental development regular.Finally,the paper makes an objective evaluation of positive discipline.It is a valuable parent training course,but there are some shortcomings still.At the same time,considering the differences between Chinese and Western cultural backgrounds and the basic idea of human-oriented quality education in China,the author makes some localization related suggestions based on specific national conditions..
