Against the background of countries and regions advancing the vision of internationalization,innovation and diversification,basic education reforms continue to deepen worldwide.Curriculum reform,as the core of education reform,needs continuous improvement and development.Due to the difference in education system between the mainland and Taiwan,there are also differences in their physical education curriculum standards.This study compares the "General High School Physical Education and Health Curriculum Standards"(2017version)in the mainland with the "Basic Education Curriculum Outline Primary and Secondary Schools and General Advanced Secondary Schools"(Health and Physical Education 2018 version)in Taiwan.By comparing and studying the differences in cross-strait physical education courses,the potential value of physical education courses can be further tapped from the differences,and opinions and suggestions can be provided for the reform of physical education courses in senior middle schools across the strait.This article compares the similarities and differences by the literature data method,comparative research method,and logical analysis method according to the core literacy of the physical education discipline,the basic concept of the curriculum,and the curriculum objectives.The following conclusions were drawn from the research:1.The cross-strait physical education curriculum in China focuses on cultivating students 'correct values,essential qualities,and key abilities to cultivate students' comprehensive development ability.2.In terms of the basic concepts of cross-strait sports courses in China,we advocate the principle of holistic education and health first,pay attention to the overall development of students,pay attention to local education and school-based courses,and encourage schools to develop special courses that are in line with school development.3.In terms of curriculum objectives,cross-strait physical education courses in China highlight the cultivation of lifelong sports habits and make full preparations for future social life.4.In terms of curriculum structure and content,cross-strait physical educationcourses in China are combined with teaching and evaluation,and focus on the cultivation of special skills and the relationship between discipline and life.5.China's cross-strait physical education courses have their own advantages in terms of curriculum implementation.China's Taiwan region lacks detailed evaluation standards for academic level evaluation,and focuses on individual differences and multiple evaluations in evaluation.6.In terms of academic quality evaluation standards for cross-strait physical education courses in China,the abilities of students at different stages are clearly demonstrated.The level distribution is clear and the implementability is stronger.The overall requirements for students of Taiwan in China are very comprehensive.
