Background:With the rapid development of ice and snow sports in China, curling is expected to win the Winter Olympic Games. In the research of curling, the better the control of balance ability and core strength, the better the accuracy of the throwing. Therefore,we tried to explore the correlation between balance ability, core strength and the result of accurate throwing performance. The first is to verify the correlation between the two items from the numerical aspect. The second is to find a more suitable balance and core muscle strength test method for curling project. Methods: By using the test method, the stability of the balance ability, core strength and the accuracy of throwing pot of 12 curlers from Jilin Sports School were tested to find out the correlation between them.(male: n = 7,age: 16.86 ± 1.21,height: 178.00 ± 1.64,weight: 62.21 ± 10.21,training time / months: 19.42 ± 3.95,female: n = 5,age: 15.60 ±1.81,height: 169.00 ± 6.81,weight: 59.00 ± 10.34,Training time / months: 17.00 ±5.10).Test location: Curling Hall of Jilin Ice Training Center and Athletic Training Room of Jilin Sports University.Result:1.For all curling players:there is no correlation between the test results of BESS and the test results of throwing pot.2 For all curling players:the Romberg rate(in an unstable situation)of HUR Smart Balance equipment was significantly correlated with the average result of throwing pot,r=-0.597,p < 0.05.3 For all curling players:there was a significant correlation between the posterolateral side of the right foot in the Star Excursion Balance Test and the total result of throwing pot,r = 0.705,p < 0.05.There was a significant correlation between the anterolateral side of the right foot and the third result of throwing pot,r = 0.764,p < 0.05.4.For all curling players:in Y-Balance Test, there was a significant correlation between the posterolateral side of left leg and the average result of throwing pot,r =0.643,p < 0.05;there was a significant correlation between the anterolateral side of left leg and the third result of throwing pot,r = 0.637,p < 0.05;there was a significantcorrelation between the posterior side of left leg and the second result of throwing pot,r= 0.673,p < 0.05;there was a significant correlation between the anterolateral side of right leg and the third result of throwing pot,r = 0.664,p< 0.05.5 For all curling players:the rapid left-right movement value of Neurocom Balance Manager system test was negatively correlated with the third result of throwing pot,r =-0.629,p < 0.05.6 For all curling players:there was a significant positive correlation between the left bridge value of core strength and the third result of throwing pot,r= 0.626,p<0.05.Conclusion:1 In terms of static balance : the better the static balance ability is,the more accurate pot is thrown;more attention should be paid to the static balance ability in curling sports.2 In terms of dynamic balance : the better the dynamic balance ability is,the more accurate pot is thrown. Some directions of Y-Balance Test and the Star Excursion Balance Test were positively correlated with the accurate score of the throwing,The Neuro Com Balance Manager system's test approach should be added to the formal test.3 In terms of core strength : for all curling players, the performance of the Left Side Bridge should be paid attention to.The better the Left Side Bridge movement is maintained, the higher the accuracy of throwing.Female athletes should pay attention to the performance of the Right Bridge Test. There is no correlation between the current test of Eight Level Bridge and the result of throwing pot.In the future,a large number of samples should be selected to explore.4 Considering the different physical qualities of male and female athletes,we should choose appropriate testing methods.
