Chinese character,as a linguistic symbol system,has been carrying splendid Chinese civilization for more than 5000 years.It still plays a crucial role in cultural communication,economical development as well as national prosperity.However,considering its huge number and complexity in structure,Chinese character undoubtedly is one of the most difficult language worldwide.At present,literacy teaching in the first stage of elementary education characterizes the cognization and writing of characters,but still encounters challenges,such as monotony and stylization.The release and application of Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education(MOE)in 2017 made the teaching of literacy more diverse.The changes in design ideas and layout of literacy textbooks demonstrate the significance of educational research on literacy teaching in elementary school.Based on the changes in textbooks and discipline standards,author investigates the optimal teaching method of first-stage literacy teaching from several aspects including children personality,trend of constructing Chinese character and arrangement of textbooks.This thesis demonstrates the teaching methods in first-stage MOE textbooks from four aspects.In the introduction,author reviewed the common methods of literacy teaching and related researching strategies since the foundation of new China,emphasizing the researching motivation and significance of this subject.Subsequently,definition of core concepts and goals of literacy teaching were introduced,and theories underlying the literacy teaching were also provided.Finally,investigate the teaching methods in different sections of first-stage MOE textbooks,whereby increasing students' literacy attainments,based on trends in constructing Chinese characters and compiling style of MOE textbooks.Literacy teaching underpins the other teaching process consisting of reading,writing and communication,therefore it is the most important goal in primary education.Considering the design idea and compiling style of first-stage MOE textbooks,author analyzes teaching method and designs teaching on-class activity,providing practical and instructive teaching experience for frontier teacher to make use of first-stage MOE textbooks.
