With the publication of the 2017 edition of the Standards for Ideological and Political Course in Senior High School,the reform of ideological and political course in senior high school in China has reached a new stage in new era.The new curriculum standard emphasizes that cultivation of the students' key competencies of subjects is required in order to implement the fundamental task to foster virtue through education and education goals to the socialist core value.The establishment of activity-oriented curriculum has become an important way to cultivate the students' key competencies of subjects.The topic-based teaching method is a key way to the realization of activity-oriented curriculum.Therefore,the topic-based teaching method is an important way to realize the students' key competencies of subjects and it is also an important path to cultivate innovative thinking ability and realize the value of discipline education.According to the specific teaching content,curriculum standard,textbook and society hot spots,we should scientifically select topic-based teaching method as teaching methods through designing topic,creating real social situations,performing a series of extracurricular and extracurricular activities,guiding students to explore topics in a various ways,constructing knowledge around topics independently,and internalizing literacy.Under the guidance of this thought,the research and application of the topic-based teaching method have been carried out to different degrees in political and ideological courses in many places and senior high schools.However,by investigating the current situation of the ideological and political teaching in senior high school,it is found that there are still some problems during the teaching procedure when adopting this method.For example,students' main participation is not enough;the selection and design of topics are not scientific enough;the evaluation system is not perfect and scientific.Obviously,these problems existed in ideological and political courses in senior high school are not beneficial to the application of topic-based teaching method in senior high school and therefore affect the cultivation of the students' key competencies of subjects.Therefore,it is necessary to further develop the practical research on topic-based teaching method.This paper consists of three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The second part is the text,which is divided into four parts.In the first part,the related theories of topic-based teaching method in political and ideological courses in senior high school are summarize including connotation,characteristics,a comparison between topic-based teaching method and similar teaching method.In the second part,the key chapter of this paper,the investigation of the current situation,existing problems and cause analysis of topic-based teaching method in political and ideological courses in senior high schools is elaborated.In the third part,aiming at the exiting problems in the topic-based teaching method in the third part,according to the principles to be followed using the topic-based teaching method in political and ideological courses in senior high school,the theoretical basis of the topic-based teaching method in political and ideological courses in senior high school,some corresponding strategies of the topic-based teaching method are proposed.We discusses these implementation countermeasures from six aspects including strengthening teachers' understanding of the importance on the topic-based teaching method,changing students' learning views,respecting students' individual differences and thus guiding all students to actively participate in classroom teaching,selecting and designing scientific topics,strengthening the supervision and guarantee of schools,and establishing a scientific and perfect evaluation system.In the fourth part,the practical application of the topic-based teaching method in the ideological and political classes in senior high school are elaborated taking the “inheritance of traditional culture” in cultural life as the teaching case and selecting “understanding the traditional culture of Luoyang,inheriting rationality traditional Chinese culture” as central topic.
