The author conducted Chinese teaching activities in British public primary schools for 10 months from September,2012 to June,2021 through the selection of Hanban and British Council,and encountered many challenges in classroom management.Good classroom management is the basis and prerequisite for the progress of class teaching and realization of class goals,and it is also an important aspect to promote students' language learning.So this paper conducted a study on Chinese classroom management in British primary schools,based on the teaching practice of volunteers of Chinese teachers who went to the UK for one academic year,hoping to provide some enlightenment to the volunteers who is going to the UK for teaching in the future?The research methods in this paper are mainly case analysis and questionnaire survey.10 Chinese primary school Chinese teachers are selected as the subject of study to conduct classroom observation and interviews.Typical cases are recorded and analyzed to find the types of classroom management problems in common.This study designed a questionnaire on classroom discipline management.40 questionnaires were distributed to Chinese teachers in British primary schools,and 30 were actually recovered.Through the investigation,this study found the types and causes of disciplinary problems in Chinese classrooms and the strategies for teachers to resolve disciplinary problems in the classroom.Based on my practice and exploration of Chinese classroom teaching management in British primary schools,this article mainly discusses three research questions: 1.What are the main types of classroom management problems in Chinese classroom management in British primary schools?2.What are the causes of the problems in the management of Chinese classrooms among British pupils?3.What are the countermeasures and strategies to solve problems in the management of Chinese classrooms in British primary schools,The Study found that in the aspect of classroom discourse management,the instruction discourse of Chinese teachers fails to express the instruction clearly,and the body discourse is extreme.In the aspect of classroom environment management,teachers fail to create a good physical and psychological environment to affect students' positive Chinese learning psychology and behavior.In terms of emotion management,there are defects in the management of positive and negative emotions.In terms of classroom discipline management,69.57% of Chinese language teachers believe that discipline management is one of the main problems encountered in Chinese language teaching in British primary schools,and 86.96% of them believe that their classroom discipline management is not so good and needs to be improved.According to the characteristics of British education and students,this paper proposes some corresponding classroom management measures.There are numerous researches on classroom management in primary andsecondary schools at home and abroad,but just few researches on Chinese classroom management in British primary schools.It is hoped that this paper can make a breakthrough in this aspect,carry out a study on Chinese classroom management in British primary schools.The author make a case analysis based on relevant theories,and discuss corresponding management strategies on the basis of practice,hoping to provide reference for Chinese volunteer teachers who is going to Britain.
