Because of the reform and development of the college entrance exam system,the students in ordinary senior high school meet quite a few choices and challenges.However,most of them are short of self-cognition,poor learning goals and enough interest in studying.They are also weak in career planning guidance,which may come from their family and school.In addition,it is hard for them to get necessary information about the society and careers due to the poor economy and remoteness of these rural senior high schools.Therefore,for the rural ordinary high schools,to carry out career planning education is the aspiration of people,is greatly necessary.In this research,the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey and interviews are widely used.With the help of EXCEL and SPSS,we can get three main conclusions:First,the status quo of life planning and self-identity achievement of ordinary high school students in rural areas are not optimistic;Second,they urgently need a career education;Third,they are lack of systematic career education.We found that most rural high school students are poor in self-identity and lack of systematic career planning education due to the lack of high school students' self-cognition and the traditional examination-oriented education concept.In addition,the limiting promotion of career education and the lack of awareness of career education among the parents and schools are also the subjective factors.Furthermore,the current lack of systematic career education theoretical guidance in rural areas,the weak social support for career education in rural high schools are the other objective reasons.In this research,some suggestions and countermeasures are provided for its promotion as the following:vigorously promote the role of life planning education to improve awareness of all people;effectively play the role of achieving identity in promoting life planning education to enhance their self-awareness,reshape the goal like the goal system of "three visions",improve the content like the progressive "screw type" content system,enrich the ways like the implementation system of "one main,three auxiliary",actively explore the evaluation system of career education and deeply explore the career education resource in rural senior high school.
