Research On Problems And Countermeasures Of Chinese Tourists Travel To Thailand

Thailand is a famous tourist destination according to several factors such as ancient ruins,Thai culture and traditions and beautiful beaches and so on that attracted foreign tourists from all around the world.Tourism and travel services sector are vital to Thai economy,it created added value to Thai economy both directly and indirectly.China is Thailand's largest export market.In these recent years,Chinese tourists accounted for 85%of all foreign tourists.From the number of Chinese tourist arrivals,we can see how it could affect Thai tourism industry.As the growth of Thai entertainment sector,it has been expanding to China region and vice versa in these recent years.Through the power of media,many tourist spots in Thailand are known by Chinese people.So entertainment sector supports tourism industry in some way.And spreading Thai culture and tourism is one of Thai tourism development strategies.We realized how important tourism industry is for Thai economy however while we are excited about the increased number of international arrivals,we neglect two significant things about tourism which are"sustainability" and "development".In this paper,through the collection of both China and Thailand authority website provides data and related materials about Problems and Countermeasures of Chinese Tourists travel to Thailand,then analyzes the motivations of Chinese tourists travel to Thailand and Problems and Countermeasures of Chinese Tourists travel to Thailand.This work applies Dann's "Theory of Tourism Motivation" to divide push and pull factors of Chinese tourists travel to Thailand.The increase of per capita income of Chinese people are the push factors that drive Chinese tourists travel to Thailand.Meanwhile peaceful attitude on politics of Thai government,concept of Thai tourism's strategies and policies and winning awards on products and services of Thailand are pull factors that encourage Chinese tourists to visit Thailand.Then we discussed about the impact of tourism on China and Thai relations including tourism is the main content of diplomatic work;international tourism promotes Sino-Thai cooperation and international tourism promotes cultural transmission,also national image.This research focuses on the problems and countermeasures of Chinese tourists travel to Thailand.Its problems mainly divided into 2 aspects including Thai and both side of issues.For Thai aspect,the issues are tourism mismanagement,lack of convenience in tourism service and safety issue.As for both sides of aspect,the differences of cultures between China and Thai,language barrier and "zero-fare tour"issue.Finally,to resolve these problems,Chinese and Thai government have been taken several serious measures according to specific issues such as providing Thai's culture and custom knowledge to Chinese tourists;advancing Thai tourism management;facilitating Thai tourism service sector and improving Thai laws and regulations,especially to strengthen law enforcement.
