The universal verb is a special kind of verb in modern Chinese language.The meaning of the verb in this group broadens itself.In addition,most of them are monosyllabic words.They can replace many specific verbs,their meaning will change according to the structure or context of the sentence.So,the verb in this group broadens in meaning because it isn't clearly.These words: " zuò(?)"," nòng(?)"," gàn(?)",and " g?o(?)" are models for a group of the universal verb.These four words are used extensively.Moreover,they can replace each other sometimes.Their meanings have similarities in terms of scope.So,they are ambiguous in daily use and learning this type of verb is not easy.The objectives of this thesis are:To analyze and compare universal verbs that are " zuò(?)"," nòng(?)"," gàn(?)",and " g?o(?)".The researcher analyzed and compared these verbs in meaning,syntax,pragmatics,and language usage.To survey students and teacher by questionnaire and analyze to search for reasons that cause the errors in learning and using Chinese universal verbs.The results of these survey,mistakes are done by answerer consist of using taking the place of by mistaking,adding by mistake,omitting,and the wrong preface.In addition,the researcher analyzed and concluded the causes of the errors from the questionnaire.To advise in teaching " zuò(?)"," nòng(?)"," gàn(?)",and " g?o(?)" to improve the efficiency of the learner.
