Investigation And Research On The Motivation Of Chinese Language Learning Among Sudanese University Students

Along With the rapid development of China's economy,all countries in the world want to communicate with China,and Sudan is one of these countries.At present,the friendly and cooperative relations between China and Sudan are developing continuously.Therefore,there has been an upsurge of Chinese learning in Sudan.It is well known that motivation plays an important role in second language learning.Since the 1980s,many Chinese linguists have begun to study motivation in second language learning in China.Therefore,in a long period of time,they have accumulated plentiful research results.In this paper,the writer introduces the overview of motivation,including"the external source of motivation","the definition of motivation","the classification of motivation",and"the important Elements which affecting Students' Learning Motivation".Recently,in Sudan Chinese learning has been more and more welcomed,What is the motivation of Sudanese college students to learn Chinese?Is something deserve to be concerned.A questionnaire made on 79 students from Chinese Department at Khartoum University in Sudan.The questionnaire design and analysis of such questionnaire result were carried out through an online application.The questionnaire divided into two sections.The first section is the basic information of students including:gender,educational background,learning Chinese,HSK examination.The second section is about the influence of Chinese learning motivation.Including Motivation Scale and the factors which affecting the motivation of Chinese learning which is the role of teachers and school textbooks in the Chinese department at university of Khartoum.Finally,through the analysis of the results of this survey,the author puts forward some strategies and suggestions to stimulate the motivation of Chinese language learning of students in the Chinese Department University of Khartoum.As person who has had experience,I hope that through this paper,I can help more people to master Chinese and enhance the interest of learners in Chinese.
