Double-object sentence is one of the more commonly used sentence patterns in daily communication in modern Chinese. It is also a grammar teaching point that needs attention in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. There have been many studies on double-object sentences and double-object verbs over the years, but at present there is no definite conclusion about the classification of double-object verbs, especially the division of non-giving double-object verbs is more controversial. However,no matter what the classification criteria are,we need to recognize the core position of "give meaning" dual-object verbs among many double-object verbs, and non-"give" type dual-object verbs account for only a small part of them.Take 74 Chinese verbs marked with double-object usage included in the Dictionary of Chinese Verbs Usage edited by Meng Cong.Among them,non-"giving" type double-verb verbs account for 6%."Give " Double-object verbs account for 94%.There are still some non-giving verbs that are not "giving".Even if other small class non-"give" double object verbs that are currently controversially classified account for only a small part of all double object verbs, the "give" type double object verb still accounts for a large proportion. In observing the layout of teaching materials and the daily teaching process of teachers,we also found that teachers and teaching materials also focused on the "giving" type double object structure for the teaching content and training of double object sentences. However,in fact, the non-"give" type double object verbs in the reference books and textbooks also have extremely high frequency of use and occasions, and the usage of the "give" type double object verb is not the same as the "give" type double verb. The usage of the object verb is not exactly the same, and it can't be copied. This article is based on the non-"giving" double-object verbs with dual-object usage included and marked in the "Chinese Verb Usage Dictionary" edited by Meng Cong, while collecting some other representative non-"giving" dual-object verbs.Through a series of research methods combined with the standards required by the current "Outline",the errors made by foreign students in the learning process were investigated, and it was found that foreign students did not have a strong grasp of some non-"giving" double verb verbs. This research collects and organizes resources such as the HSK dynamic corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University, the interlanguage corpus of Jinan University, some Chinese textbooks for foreigners, questionnaire materials, etc.and organizes and analyzes the more typical non-giving double-object verbs.Error analysis provides more reference suggestions for the application of teaching practice, and also provides more reference opinions for theimprovement of teaching strategies and syllabus.
