Civil servant Performance appraisal is an important part of the civil servant management system,which plays a vital role in the daily administration of the government.Scientific,fair,impartial and efficient civil servant performance assessment is helpful to improve the efficiency of government administration,to improve the self-improvement of government organizations and to help the government identify and select talents effectively.Under the background of deepening reform in China,it is of great practical significance to improve the performance evaluation of civil servants.This paper defines the relevant concepts of performance appraisal system for civil servants,reviews the history of performance appraisal of civil servants in China.The importance of reforming and perfecting the performance appraisal system of civil servants in our country is explained from many aspects.Through the introduction of the concrete methods of civil servants’ performance appraisal in Jianye District of Nanjing City,this paper analyzes the actual operation status of performance appraisal of civil servants in Jianye District.At the same time,this paper introduces and analyzes the basic methods of civil servant performance appraisal in the United States,Britain and Japan.This paper enumerates the characteristics of performance appraisal of civil servants in developed countries,and finds out that it is worth our public service.The paper provides experience and ideas for perfecting the performance appraisal system of civil servants in our country.Finally,combining with my experience and feeling in actual work,the paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to perfect the performance appraisal of civil servants in our country.I hope to contribute to the development of performance appraisal of civil servants in our country.
