Research On Rural Women's Poverty Alleviation Strategies From The Perspective Of Empowerment

Poverty has always been an unavoidable issue for countries seeking long-term development.How to effectively reduce the poor population,improve people's life happiness,under the people-oriented concept,in the pursuit of harmony as the goal of the society is particularly important.Poverty alleviation of rural women is of great significance to poverty alleviation of the entire poor family.In the context of targeted poverty alleviation,focusing poverty alleviation on rural poor women is an important aspect of poverty alleviation work.This paper mainly studies how to help poor women in rural areas improve their awareness of poverty alleviation,enhance their ability to get rid of poverty and solve the problems encountered in the process of poverty alleviation through the empowerment theory.Based on the perspective of empowerment theory,this study attempts to explore how empowerment theory can play a role in helping poor rural women by combining literature analysis,interview and participatory observation.Taking J village as the research area,20 poor women in J village were interviewed.According to the relevant data of the field investigation,the rights elimination situation of poor women in J village was as follows.Household savings are meagre and debt levels are high;Low level of education and inadequate ability to develop;The family important decision-making power falls,educates the child ability insufficiency;Poor physical health,psychological stress.Through further analysis,the causes of poverty of poor women in J village are as follows: at the individual level,rural women have a low sense of self-efficacy;At the economic level,rural women engaged in production labor technology content is low;At the institutional level,the attention paid to current policies is insufficient.At the social level,the foundation of social care is weak.Based on the discussion of the situation of poor women's rights elimination and the causes of poverty in J village,this study focuses on how to provide targeted and sustainable poverty alleviation strategies for poor women in J village from the perspectives of individual empowerment,institution empowerment,rural community empowerment and social organization empowerment under the framework of the empowerment theory.The study found that the problem of rural women's poverty alleviation is related to the construction of a harmonious society and the realization of a well-off society.How to effectively and sustainably help rural women out of poverty,the most important thing is to consider the impact of rural women's poverty alleviation on their families.Help rural women out of poverty by helping them break the intergenerational transmission of poverty.This study hopes to provide a broader vision and a feasible solution to the rural poor women's road out of poverty by using the theory of empowerment,so as to help these groups enhance their power,overcome difficulties and create a happy life.
