An Analysis Of The Trump Administration's Science And Technology Policy Towards China

The relationship between China and the United States in science and technology is an important part of the relationship between China and the United States,but after Trump came to power,he adjusted his science and technology policy to China according to the changes of the international and domestic situation.Trump,worried about the improvement of China's scientific and technological strength and catering to the political demands of the United States,began to attack Chinese high-tech enterprises in an all-round way.Chinese high-tech enterprises in the fields of artificial intelligence,network security and communication technology were frequently suppressed and sanctioned by trump.Trump's science and technology policy will have a profound impact on the development of science and technology in China and the bilateral relations between China and the United States.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which discusses the background and significance of Trump's science and technology policy to China as well as the related research review at home and abroad.The second chapter combs the concept of Trump's science and technology policy,clarifies the relationship between science and technology policy,trade policy and intellectual property policy,and combs the previous US government's science and technology policy to China.The third chapter is the core part of the paper,which will focus on the analysis of Trump's science and technology policy to China with three cases,that is,to suppress China's high-tech enterprises;to limit Chinese enterprises' investment in the United States;and to build technical barriers to China.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the reasons of Trump's science and technology policy to China from the perspective of China and the domestic perspective of the United States: first,the growth of China's science and technology strength causes Trump's concern.Trump caters to the political demands of domestic anti china forces.In the fifth chapter,the author will discuss the impact on China's high-tech industry and intellectual property system,as well as the enlightenment to China,including that China should strengthen the protection of intellectual property and vigorously develop high-tech industry.
