The Ministry of Education promulgated the Ordinary High School Geography Curriculum Standard(2017 Edition)in 2017 and proposed the basic concept of “Cultivating the Essential Geographical Literacy for Modern Citizens”.Geographic core accomplishment has become an important goal of high school teaching.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study how to cultivate core qualities in high school geography teaching.In order to infiltrate the geographical core qualities in the teaching practice,this paper proposes a case teaching design process for cultivating geographical core qualities.The article includes the following aspects:First of all,it discusses the connotation and basic elements of geographical core accomplishment,and summarizes the concepts of case and case teaching.Based on this,it analyzes case teaching in the cultivation of man-land concept,regional cognition,comprehensive thinking and geographical practice.Secondly,the status quo of high school geography teacher case teaching was investigated and analyzed.It was found that the current high school geography teachers have some problems in case teaching,such as lack of understanding of geographical core literacy,lack of systematic design of case teaching,single evaluation of students,etc.Finally,with the aim of cultivating geographic core literacy,the design process of case teaching was proposed from the three stages of pre-class preparation,classroom implementation and after-class evaluation.The pre-class preparation phase includes the analysis of geographical core qualities and teaching contents,design of teaching objectives,design of cases.Classroom implementation stage includes the design of case presentation and student activities.And post-assessment evaluation stage includes student evaluation design and teacher teaching reflection.Finally,based on the case teaching process,a case teaching example was designed.The purpose of this paper is to provide new ideas for the training of geographical core qualities and to improve the teaching methods of high school geography teachers.The purpose is to enhance the teachers' understanding of the geographical core qualities and improve the ability of case teaching design.It is expected to provide reference for the implementation of geographical core literacy training.
