Biology is a natural science which is based on experiment.The teaching of biology in senior high school requires students not only to master relevant knowledge of this subject,but also to improve their biological science literacy.However,in the real teaching process of biology,the phenomenon of learning difficultly in biology often occurs and that always seriously impedes the all-round development of students.Therefore,research and transformation of such students who cannot learn very well and full of learning difficulties(The following abbreviation is called "students with learning difficulties")are the demand of not only the educational teaching,but also the cultivation for high-quality talents.First of all,this study introduces the core concepts and diagnostic criteria of students with learning difficulties and summarizes the relevant research process at home and abroad.Secondly,the writer designs the questionnaire as well as interviews combining with the actual situation.And three ordinary senior high school in Bayuquan are chose to get the random samples.The writer selects 12 parallel classes in Grade One of them randomly to carry out the questionnaire,and then,interviews are done with the headteachers and biology teachers of these 12 classes.The questionnaire mainly aims to analyze the students objectively from six aspects,including learning interest,learning motivation,learning method,willpower,family factor and teacher factor.Later,specific reasons for learning difficulties in biology will be find out with the help of the results of both the questionnaire and the interviews.Finally,according to the causes of biological difficulties and combing the teaching experience of those biology teachers the writer designs relative specific strategies for transforming those students with learning difficulties based on the constructivist learning theory,the successful education theory,the needs hierarchy theory as well as ZPD(zone of proximal development theory).The transforming and change of those students with learning difficulties cannot be achieved immediately at a time,students,teachers and parents are all required to participate in the process.The main transformational methods are as follows,such as arousing students' interest in learning,improving their learning motivation,reestablish the learning confidence of them,changing the learning methods of them,changing the family atmosphere as well as improving the teaching strategies and evaluation system of teachers.Although there are still many difficulties existing in the process of the transformation of students with learning difficulties,this situation can be changed and the number of such students can be reduced as long as family,school and the society unite together and every educator and relevant personnel works extremely hard together for this.
