The teaching of writing is a basic project used to inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation and it is an important part of the entire Chinese language teaching process.The elementary school stage is the beginning of the student's formal entry into a learning life,according to the characteristics of students,teachers should adopt corresponding teaching methods to carry out handwriting teaching to help students develop good writing habits and lay a good foundation for their lifelong learning.Chinese characters are a unity of sound,shape and meaning,which are combined with Chinese learning.Mastering Chinese characters is a necessary prerequisite for language learning.The teaching of writing can fully exert the functions of Chinese characters in inheriting the culture,tempering will,and improving students' Chinese language qualities.With the continuous idea of education,the state has issued all kinds of relevant documents,especially,the emphasis on writing teaching has been greatly improved in the “Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2011 Edition)”.compared with the current situation of handwriting teaching in the lower grade of primary school,The appearance of such problems is directly related to teachers' lack of writing skills training in the teaching process,single teaching methods,and insufficient emphasis on writing.The writing education integrates listening,speaking,reading and writing,and provides a solid foundation for students to further learn Chinese.Therefore,the study on the status and strategies of lower grade writing in primary schools should not be slack,and we must further clarify the solid position of writing skills in strengthening students' core language qualities.In the study,some teachers and students from middle and junior grades in three elementary schools from Rizhao City were selected as subjects of study.Questionnaires were developed on the theme of writing education to investigate the current status of lower grade writing.According to investigation,it was found that in the writing process of junior students,there were phenomena such as non-standard writing,wrongly written characters,formal practice in writing,lack of dedicated practice time,and disconnection from the classroom education.A variety of measures have been proposed here to solve those problems: the first is to strengthen teachers' skills training and establish new concepts;the second to integrate the people-centered concept in quality-oriented education and reduce the burden on students and the third is to use multiple teaching methods to activate students' writing interest;the fourth is is to establish specific and targeted assessment mechanisms to fundamentally improve the students' emphasis on writing.
