Research On The Conflict Between Teachers And Students In X High School

Conflict between teachers and students is a common phenomenon in school life.The manifestations,causes and effects of conflicts between teachers and students in high schools have their particularity.The study of the conflict between teachers and students in high school has a positive value for building a good relationship between teachers and students,maintaining a good teaching order,building a harmonious and stable class group and setting up a healthy and beneficial school culture.The paper takes the case study as the basic way,taking X high school as the specific object.It adopts the questionnaire,interview and observation to do the research.The study interviewed 80 teachers and 50 students from X high school.It investigated 200 students and 80 teachers.Based on interviews,questionnaires and participatory observations,the study shows the basic situation of X teacher student conflict.On the one hand,the conflict between teachers and students is different in different grades,groups and sexes.On the other hand,the conflict between teachers and students presents diversity,including conflict in class and outside class,public conflict and invisible conflict.These conflicts have a dual impact.For the positive side,teachers'personal qualities have been improved and students have an improvement in interpersonal communication.For the negative side,teachers do not dare to discipline students thus reducing their professional happiness.They also make students lack of motivation and even transfer to other schools.There are many reasons for the conflict between teachers and students in X high school.First,the students are poor in learning and unwilling to communicate with the teachers.Also,they are effected by the peers.They don't have the right expectations to the teachers and have their own psychological characteristic.Second,many families don't pay attention to their children's education.Students don't have a harmonious family.Third,teachers are low in enthusiasm.They reward and punish students improperly.Some teachers have bad individual quality and big work pressure.Fourth,the school with the large scale and many classes is poor in the management.The students are unwilling to study,which results in the low learning atmosphere.The organizational division among leaders is not clear and the responsibility of the head teacher is too big.Fifth,the education enrollment in Y city is confusing.The examination oriented education evaluation makes us pursue scores.The negative effects from the media and the Internet make the teachers unpopular among students.Based on the above analysis,the paper puts forward some suggestions to resolve the conflict between teachers and students.First,being teachers,we should appreciate students,walking into the mind of the students.We should use our wisdom to defuse the conflict between teachers and students.We must keep up with the pace of the times and improve students' grades.Second,students should correctly understand punishment and corporal punishment and improve self-discipline.Third,families need to achieve family harmony and support school work.Besides,the school should improve the executive power of the system,change the teacher evaluation system to reduce the pressure of teachers,reduce the size of the class and the number of students and innovate the interactive mode between family and school.At last,the society should realize the balance of education enrollment,reform the examination evaluation system of the college entrance examination and respect the teachers.
