Vocational education,an important way for many young people to enter the society,is an important guarantee to shoulder the cultivationof different types of talents,inherit social skills and promote social employment and entrepreneurship.Adequate attention must be paid to it from all walks of life.In recent years,although higher vocational education in China has developed rapidly,it is still a weak section in national education as a whole.This is especially true of teacher training and teacher quality.In higher vocational colleges,young teachers are the main force and the reserve force.The level of their teaching ability directly affects the quality of teaching and the personnel training in higher vocational colleges,and consequently affects the healthy and orderly development of colleges and the sustainable development of society.In this thesis,the research objects are young teachers from Shandong Polytechnic,Weifang Vocational College and Shandong Traffic Technician College.Using literature review,surveys and interviews,and on the basis of summarizing the elements of the teaching ability components of young teachers,the current situations of the teaching ability of young teacher and the influencing factorsin higher vocational colleges at home and abroad,the thesis conducted the research into young teachers' teaching ability: basic teaching ability,professional ability and sustainable development ability from two perspectives of young teachers' self-investigation and their colleagues' investigation.The conclusion has been drawn that the present situation of the teaching ability development of the young teachers in higher vocational colleges is that their basic teaching ability is not solid enough,their professional practice teaching ability is deficient and their educational and scientific research ability needs to be improved.According to the interview and investigation of the influencing factors of the teaching ability of the young teachers in higher vocational colleges,it is concluded that individual factors,school managementand national policies and regulations all are the important factors that affect the improvement of the teaching ability of the young teachers in Higher Vocational colleges.Then on the basis of these,the countermeasures and suggestions to improve the teaching ability of young teachers in higher vocational colleges are put forward,including the autonomy of young teachers,good school environment and management system,and the guarantee of national policies and regulations,which are all important measures to improve the teaching quality of young teachers and the training quality of talents in higher vocational colleges.Concerning the improvement of the autonomy of young teachers,this thesis points out that young teachers should improve their basic literacy,basic knowledge structure and classroom teaching ability,strengthen their practical operation skills,improve their professional teaching ability,and promote their ability of educational research,educational reform and innovation,information technology means,and lifelong learning ability.At the school level,the management of pre-job training for young teachers should be strengthened,the vocational training system should be improved,the management of assessment and evaluation mechanism and reward mechanism should be established,and good school atmosphere and the humanistic environment should be created.At the national level,the young teachers are given certain support in policies and regulations andthe measures such asgiving full play to correct guiding role of the social environment should be taken.It is a long-term process of the teaching ability improvement of young teachers in China's colleges and universities,which requires the driving force of the young teachers' internal drive,the scientific and humanistic management of the schools,the effective support of the national policies and regulations.Only when the three aspects are integrated and coordinated harmoniously,can the teaching ability of the young teachers in our higher vocational colleges be promoted effectively.
