STEAM education is the abbreviation for science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. It emphasizes the concept of interdisciplinary integration, with innovative thinking and engineering thinking as the guide.Cultivate students’comprehensive ability in creativity, problem solving, teamwork, communication, and critical thinking to create complex innovative talents."The Guidance Opinions on the Comprehensive and In-depth Advancement of Education Informatization during the 13th Five-Year Plan" clearly stated that in some regions where China is qualified,it is necessary to actively explore and practice STEAM education and robotics education and carry out relevant courses in the emerging education model.Apply practice, pay attention to the students’ creative thinking and ability to innovate. In recent years, the value and importance of STEAM education has gradually been accepted by all walks of life in China, and its educational concept has been applied and promoted as a new education paradigm.Robot education,as a module that occupies an important position under the STEAM education concept, has become an important deployment of the national strategy for the development of innovation and science and technology, and the design and development of related courses is imperative.Based on the concept of STAEM education, the research is based on the theory of multilevel intelligence and constructivism. It integrates project-based learning into the primary school robotics education curriculum, designs and develops elementary school robotics courses based on project-based learning, and conducts teaching practice and analysis of teaching. The effect is to promote the promotion and development of robot education in primary and secondary schools. The specific research content is as follows:First of all, this research has carried on the statistics, the summary and the analysis to STEAM education, the robot education research at home and abroad at present, summed up the research course and research status of STEAM education and robot education, interpreted the connotation of STEAM education and robot education. It provides a theoretical reference for the design and implementation of this research.Secondly, under the background of the STEAM education concept,a design-based research paradigm was used to carry out a two-year iterative design for one year, and a VEX IQ robotics course based on project-based learning was designed and implemented at the experimental school**.Teaching practice. The course is implemented as an elective, twice a week. There are three purposes:The first is to explore how project-based learning for primary school robotics courses should be designed and implemented;the second is to explore whether primary school robotics courses based on project-based learning can help primary students improve their comprehensive abilities, including creativity, problem solving, and teamwork.Collaborative capabilities, communication skills, and critical thinking skills.Thirdly, through two rounds of iterative design, the effectiveness of different types of project-based learning curriculum design is compared and tested, and concrete and reliable practical experience is provided for the promotion and implementation of the elementary school robotics curriculum based on project-based learning. In the end,the research summary and outlook were carried out.The purpose of the project-based learning implementation of the primary school robotics course is to enable students to practice in the specific context and to cultivate their creativity, problem solving, teamwork, communication and critical thinking in the process of completing the project task.Other comprehensive capabilities.Through two rounds of iterative design, this study designed a project-based learning primary school robotics course teaching. In practical research,it achieved a good teaching effect. The students’ learning interest and satisfaction are both high and the research results show that they are based on the project. The type-based primary school robotics course helps to develop students’ comprehensive ability. With the advancement of science and technology and the renewal of technology, this research also needs to be continuously studied and improved in the follow-up to carry out a wider range of practical research.
