Morality and Law is a comprehensive course in junior high school,with the fundamental aim of guiding and promoting the cultivation of the disposition to rule of morality and law.As a teacher,we should show the characteristics and charm of this discipline on the basis of training students' core literacy.The new curriculum reform requires that the dominant position of students should be given full play to in teaching.The discussion-based teaching method fully embodies this concept.Through discussion and communication,students are encouraged to change from passive acceptance to active inquiry and stimulate their desire and interest in exploring knowledge.Based on a review of the research of discussion-based teaching methods both at home and abroad,the author has explored the application principles and the specific operation procedures of discussion-based teaching method,and expounded the advantages of the use of discussion-based teaching methods in Morality and Law classes in junior high school.The author also noticed the problems that have arisen in the current practical teaching,and analyzed these issues and put forward her own suggestions.This article mainly elaborates on the following four parts:Part One: first,starting with the relevant theoretical research of the discussion-based teaching method,this article summarizes its characteristics based on the definition of related concepts of the discussion-based teaching method;secondly,the author expounded the main theoretical basis of the discussion-based teaching method;finally,from the perspective of the new curriculum reform,teachers and students,it explains the necessity of discussion-based teaching in the teaching of Morality and Law in junior high schools.Part Two: this paper discusses the application principles and specific operating procedures of the discussion-based teaching method in teaching of Morality and Law course in junior high school.The principles of its application include democracy,effectiveness,and openness.The specific operation procedure is discussed from the three aspects of the pre-class preparation stage,implementation stage and final stage.Part Three: the practical application of the discussion-based teaching method in teaching of Morality and Law course in junior high school.Taking the class of All about Friendship as an example,this paper presents the whole process of the author's discussion-based teaching method by the detailed explanation of the course introduction,new-class-teaching,summary and after-class extension education.Part Four: the practical inflection on application of discussion-based teaching method.Combining with practical teaching experience,this article expounds the advantages of implementing discussion-based teaching methods Morality and Law course in junior high school from various angles.At the same time,the author found some shortcomings in the application of discussion-based teaching method in the process of practice,such as the monotonous process of discussion and the improper discussion of the group.In the end,for those problems found in teaching,this paper puts forward several suggestions on how to effectively use the discussion-based teaching method.
