This paper focuses on the study of extracurricular reading teaching and evaluation of high school in rural areas of western guangdong province.The education theory has situational teaching method,multiple intelligence theory and constructivist knowledge view.Choose this subject for two reasons: one is the new standard,the new college entrance examination for high school extracurricular reading put forward higher requirements,while in rural areas in west of extracurricular reading to carry out the situation is not optimistic,extracurricular reading evaluation is almost a blank.Without evaluation,students have no incentive to read.Second,there is a serious lack of education in high school,and it is necessary to help high school students form correct outlook on life and values through reading literature.The main body of this thesis consists of the following three parts:The first part is to investigate the current situation of high school extracurricular reading and evaluation in rural areas of guangdong,and find out the problems of students,teachers,schools and parents.The second part aims at these problems and puts forward some teaching strategies.When it comes to stimulate students' interest in reading,I think to keep up with the trend of The Times,to teach students to use popular now listen software,can also hit "reader","poetry" and other programs to encourage reading;In terms of classroom teaching,we should analyze the text less and only explain the typical articles of various genres and give priority to teaching methods,so that students can read independently.In reading management,to incorporate the extracurricular reading teaching as a special research activity,improve the level of teachers' extracurricular reading teaching,let the teachers and students actively join the rural community culture construction.The third part is the evaluation strategy of extracurricular reading.Before making the extracurricular reading program,we should make a diagnostic evaluation of the students,determine the starting point of the students and make the guidance more targeted.In the process of reading,it is necessary to supervise in real time and use the PTA scale for formative assessment.There are many ways of summative evaluation,but one thing is the same,that is,the topic should be open,to examine students' reflective ability and critical spirit.The evaluation is to develop and evaluate in a variety of ways in order to maximize the performance of the students,to explore the abilities of different students and to get better development.
