At the age of information technology,information literacy is an essential basic ability.It is a prerequisite for people to participate in social life,which constitutes the basis for lifelong learning.As the main force of future society,whether junior high school students have the proper information literacy is not only related to the use of information means of active learning and solving the problems in study and life by using information technology,but also related to the development and construction of a learning society in the future.This study is based on the definition of the connotation of information literacy by the domestic and foreign scholars and the results from previous studies,according to researcher from Taiwan,Xu Yongliang's big six skills(Big Six Skills)compiled by the "middle school students' information literacy questionnaire" as the research tool.The study chooses 2100 students in grade seven or eight in Haimen city of Jiangsu Province on behalf of 12 junior high schools the as the research object.Through the online questionnaire of junior high school students,a research is done,aiming to investigate six dimensions ability of finding the problem and seeking information,retrieving information and the use of information,comprehensive information,assessment information sharing.The purpose of statistical analysis of the collected first-hand data by using SPSS22.0 software is to be aware of the junior high school students' information literacy,and the influencing factors of junior high school students information literacy development.The results show that the current junior middle school students' information literacy ability is generally at a better level.In the six dimensions of information literacy,the ability of information retrieval is the highest while the ability to find the problem,to evaluate and to share information needs to be strengthened Junior high school students' information literacy has no significant difference in time to play computer games every week,in gender,grade,a week in addition to games using computer time.There is significant difference in the location of the school,the origin of students,the academic achievement,the information technology curriculum,the starting grade of learning information technology,the previous primary school leamig and skills,classroom teaching in junior middle school information technology,information technology in society or computer production activities in the robot technology competition.whether there 's someone to consult with about the information and information technology.Based on the statistical analysis of the research results,the author gives some suggestions to improve the education of the information literacy in primary and secondary schools referring to training and promotion of information literacy of junior high school.
