Social Work Helps Residents Participate In The Governance Of Old Communities

With the development of the times and the progress of society,the process of urbanization in our country is constantly advancing.The Party's 18th National Congress also clearly stated that it is necessary to fully establish a well-off society by 2020.In the current situation,social governance has become A hot topic,the community as a basic unit of society has also become the focus of governance.Due to the relatively long construction time and other reasons,old urban communities have many problems in the infrastructure and community humanities,which makes the governance of the old districts face more difficulties.Solving the problems of the old districts is of great significance to the community residents and the overall social image.This article uses social work professional theories and methods to explore ways for residents to participate in community governance,promote the participation of residents in old communities in community governance,and refine ways to promote residents' willingness to participate in community governance and participation capabilities,as well as constructive governance of old communities.General recommendations,in order to promote the standardization and normalization of old district governance in China.This paper is based on the collection and organization of documentary data,starting with the governance practices of the Z community served by M agencies,and using literature research methods,interviews,and participatory observation methods to explore the participation of residents in old communities in community governance.There are problems.Through research,it is found that residents have low awareness and participation in community governance,limited participation activities,narrow coverage,unbalanced participation in the main structure,and difficulty in satisfying their own needs.This article analyzes the causes of the participation issues from both the community factors and the residents' own factors.Based on the problems and causes,we use social work theories and methods to develop a series of activities to promote residents' participation in community governance and evaluate the process and results of the activities..Through the assessment,it can be seen that the residents'community participation has been improved,the willingness to participate and the number of participants have increased,and the practical activities for participating in community governance have also achieved certain results.Finally,based on the social worker's practical process of boosting residents'participation in community governance,this article starts with the government,the community,and the residents,and proposes to further promote residents' participation in community governance and make the service more effective,in order to promote the wide range of residents.Participate in community issues and achieve better community governance.
