Analysis Of The Status Quo And Operation Mode Of Confucius Institutes In Scottish Primary And Secondary Schools

The existence of the Confucius Institutes for Scotland's Schools is very special.Different from other Confucius Institutes with the university as the main front,the Confucius Institutes for Scotland's Schools originally served Confucius Classrooms in all primary and secondary schools.There is a very special concept here is "classroom group",that is,there are many Confucius Classrooms,each classroom is a center,not only responsible for the Chinese teaching and cultural activities in their schools,while covering many local schools,even radiated several local administrative areas.This model is conducive to the dissemination of Chinese culture,the sharing of resources and the joint implementation and development of the project.Based on the University of Strathclyde,the Confucius Institutes for Scotland's Schools gives professional guidance to the established Confucius classrooms through the advantages of the Scottish Government and the Scotland National Language Center,including the interpretation and communication of various policies and the overall management of financial and quality;provision of teaching and cultural resources;targeted professional training on Chinese-language teachers.Based on the current situation of the Confucius Institutes for Scotland's Schools and the mode of operation of classroom groups,this paper studies the mode of operation of Confucius classrooms in Chinese popularization and dissemination of Chinese culture and their resource sharing modes.By demonstrating the actual operation of the effectiveness and means to achieve,sum up experience,find a summary for other Confucius Classrooms or related teaching institutions to learn from.In addition,after analyzing and comparing the mode of operation of Confucius Institutes for Scotland's schools and other Confucius Institutes,the article boldly put forward the idea of reducing the number of Confucius Institutes and expanding the scale of Confucius Classrooms.
