In today's educational system,the management and development of schools are often supported and helped by some social groups and family education.Among them,the most important part is parent.That's why family education,like schooling and school education,plays an immeasurable role in the development of students.Parents' participation in school management is undoubtedly the best form of the combination of the two,which is of great significance to the development of students and schools.However,there are still many deficiencies in the existing research.It is necessary to conduct a more in-depth study on the status of parents' participation in school management and how to participate in school management more effectively.Based on a large number of data collected and analyzed at home and abroad,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 480 parents and 120 teachers in three primary schools in Dalian.Including them,there were 448 valid questionnaires for parents and 107 valid questionnaires for teachers.From five aspects that the attitude to parents' participation in school management;the purpose and ways of parents' participation in school management;Role orientation of parents' participation and the content in school management;The conditions and obstacles of parents' participation in school management;The main influencing factors of parents' participation in school management to investigate the status of interaction between parents and teachers.There are some problems that are discovered,for example,parents are weak in participating in school management;the way of participation is so single that there is less two-way communication;the role of some parents is not accurate and the participation is not comprehensive;there are so many obstacles in this process that parents often fail to get what they want.The main reason for these problems is there are some deviations in parents' educational ideas;Schools are not democratic for parents to participate in management and they provide a few ways;Parents lack the ability to participate in education management;And there is a lack of corresponding laws,regulations,systems and supervision and evaluation mechanism.After analyzing the causes of the problem,through repeated practice of combining theory and empirical testing,further proposed to promote the development of positive and effective parents' participation in school improvement strategies: First,renew parents' concept and laying the foundation for parents to participate in school management.Parents should define their roles and basic rights and obligations in the process of participation clearly.Second,widen the channels to provide protection for parents' participation in school management.Because the smooth participation channels can provide sufficient guarantee for students' parents toparticipate in school education smoothly.Third,attach importance to learning and cultivate the ability and level of parents to participate in school management.Parents are the first teachers for the children.Parents with higher educational attainment and management level are more conducive to the development of excellent children.Fourth,We should improve the construction of laws and regulations and strengthen the management of education evaluation.The improvement of laws and regulations is of great value to ensure the participation of parents in school management and systematic education evaluation mechanism is also a necessary condition to ensure parents' participation in school management.
