In a complex and changing world,chemistry is closely related to our daily lives and plays a vital role in helping the world cope with some of the biggest challenges."Ordinary High School Chemistry Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)" advocates that chemistry teaching should start from the needs of students and social development.In addition to the basic knowledge that students must master,chemistry teaching should also provide preparation for students in social life and career development,and gradually construct students'core quality of chemistry.The curriculum is an important carrier to achieve the teaching objectives,and the curriculum resources are the main elements of the curriculum formation.The development and utilization of curriculum resources are of great significance for transforming the functions of the curriculum,cultivating students,promoting the professional development of teachers,and achieving new curriculum standards.Teachers and curriculum resources(teaching materials)are the main teaching foundation.The development of chemistry is changing with each passing day,but the content of chemistry textbooks on the development of chemistry is not updated in time.In addition,teachers' teaching workload is heavy,and there is a lack of high-quality teaching resources and a single teaching content.At the same time,students have less interests in chemistry learning.It is difficult to understand problems and solve problems from a chemical perspective,and to form chemical science inquiry,innovative thinking and scientific spirit of responsibility and other core chemical literacy.ChemMatters magazine,an online resource published by the Amer:ican Chemical Society(ACS)which fully demonstrates the important role of chemistry in human life,social development,and technology.The content selection has distinctive features such as current affairs,cutting-edge,fun and so on.ChemMatters magazine not only pays attention to the connection between chemistry and the world,but also emphasizes the practical application of learning scientific concepts in the classroom.ChemMatters magazine aims to let students understand the frontier achievements and realize the importance of chemistry.Therefore,the thesis selected ChemMatters to develop its resources and form teaching cases to enrich the resources of our chemistry curriculum.This thesis mainly adopts literature research,questionnaire survey and case analysis method.Based on the summary of the research progress and current situation of high school chemistry curriculum resources in China,this thesis investigates the understanding,application and attitude of high school students towards different chemistry curriculum resources,and summarizes and develops the ChemMatters resources.This thesis has the following results:First,Foreign chemical websites are richer and more systematic;although the domestic chemistry curriculum resources research has become a continuous development trend,the sources of different types of secondary school curriculum resources such as life and frontier are not systematic and update is not timely.There is still much space for development.Second,Questionnaires were conducted by middle school students in terms of chemical situation,chemical science,chemical experiment,chemical history resources and chemical attitudes.The results of the survey showed that:?students generally believe that classroom is the primary way to obtain chemical information;?students have less interests for chemistry.As for the four resources,students seldom contact them,and have difficulty in giving practical examples.Theird,The thesis sort and summarize the different resources through the study and analysis of the American ChemMatters magazine.The thesis also develop the curriculum resources suitable for middle school chemistry teaching,including the resources of contextualization,popularization,interesting experiment and chemical history,analyzing above resources and designing teaching cases.
