Resilience refers to the good adaptability of an individual while confronted with adversity,trauma,threat or stress resulting from daily lives.It represents the "resilience" of an individual in the face of life stress or frustration.As an important psychological ability,psychological resilience can enable individuals to effectively cope with setbacks and difficulties so as not to be overwhelmed and suffer from mental disorders.Middle school students are in puberty,and great changes are taking place both physiologically and psychologically.Their physical and mental development is in an unbalanced state,especially when coupled with heavy academic pressure.They are likely to take on some conflicts and contradictions.How to improve psychological resilience of middle school students and help them get through the difficulties and pressures in life and study with a positive attitude has become one of the important topics in current mental health education.Based on this,this study has done the following research:Study One:It deals with middle school students' mental resilience.A questionnaire survey was conducted on the students from Grade one to Grade two of a Middle School in Jiangsu Province through the Adolescent resilience scale.One experimental class and one ordinary class were randomly selected from each grade.A total of 525 students participated in the survey.By processing and analyzing the data collected from the survey,we can figure out the present situation of the students' psychological resilience level and the differences in gender,age,family environment and education in a Middle School in Jiangsu Province.Studv Two:It involved the methods of expression of mental resilience of middle school students and analyzes the performance of middle school students with different levels of psychological elasticity.According to the questionnaire survey of "Adolescent resilience scale",7 people with higher scores and 9 people with lower scores were selected for interviews,including the different aspects of file,such as emotion regulation,learning,problem solving,parent-child relationship,interpersonal communication,etc.A total of 11 questions were interviewed.Psychological magic pot test was conducted on 10 people(4 in high group and 6 in low group who were willing to take the magic pot test after the interview)to understand the differences with regard to stress coping modes of individuals with different levels of mental resilience.After analyzing the above two studies,we can draw the following conclusions:(1)Middle school students' psychological resilience is generally good.(2)There are no significant differences in the level of mental resilience between middle school students in terms of sex,places of origin,single parent family,only child,left-behind children,experimental class or ordinary class,and whether high school students attended the same junior high school or not.But there are significant differences between ordinary students and student leaders and there is difference between different grades.The level of psychological elasticity of student leaders is significantly higher.Junior students of grade one is significantly higher than those of grade two and grade three,as well as the students grade one and grade two in senior high school.(3)There is no significant difference in the level of psychological elasticity of junior middle school students in gender,student origin,single parent family,only child,left-behind children,experimental class or general class,class origin;There is no significant difference in the level of psychological resilience between high school students in terms of gender,origin of students,single parent family,only child,left-behind children,but there exists significant difference in whether students are leaders or not and whether they come from experimental class or ordinary class.The level of mental resilience of student leaders is significantly higher than that of ordinary students,and that of high school students in general class is significantly higher than that of experimental class.(4)In the interview,the students with low mental resilience were negative in all aspects,while those with high resilience were much more positive.In the mental magic pot test,almost all the students in the lower score group shouted passively in the bottle and waited for rescue,while most of the students in the higher score group escaped from the magic pot or created a new world in the pot.
