Classical Chinese is a part of traditional culture and it plays an increasingly important role in Chinese learning.And The content words of classical Chinese are the premise of understanding classical Chinese and the focus of classical Chinese teaching.However,it is also one of the acknowledged difficulties in Chinese teaching in high school thanks to the large number of actual words,decentralized,intricate meanings,and long distance from modern times.As two modes of thinking,metaphor and metonymy are closely related to the development and evolution of lexical meaning.it's used to the teaching of words of classical Chinese in high school,using the similarity law of metaphorical thinking and the correlation rule of metaphorical thinking will not only have theoretical significance,but also have practical value.This paper adopts the methods of example analysis,literature research and interview.This paper mainly discusses how to use metaphor and metonymy to establish relations between the meanings of real words,and studies the methods and functions of using metaphor and metonymy in the teaching of classical Chinese real words in senior high schools.The paper includes six parts.The first part is "the introduction",which mainly introduces the research object,research background,research overview and research methods.in addition,investigates and understands the present situation and existing problems of the teaching of classical Chinese notional words in senior high school through interviews,and puts forward the use of metaphor and metonymy to solve these problems.The second part is "a brief account of metaphorical metonymy and its application".First,defining the Meaning and Characteristics of Metaphoric Metonymy and Metaphoric Metonymy.Then,examples are given from two aspects of life and the evolution of word meaning.The third part is "the use of metaphorical metonymy in the teaching of classical Chinese in senior high school".It gives examples to analyze how to use metaphorical metonymy in the teaching of classical Chinese,and puts forward suggestions and opinions.This part is divided into three sections: the first section,starting from the eight aspects of action similarity,function similarity,shape and structure similarity,state similarity,psychological similarity and abstraction,virtualization,expansion or reduction of the meaning of words,studies how to apply metaphor to the teaching of real words in classical Chinese in senior high school;the second section,from the whole and part-related,time-related,location-related,action-related,original.Five aspects related to cause and result are studied on how to apply metonymy to the teaching of classical Chinese substantive words in senior high schools.The third section is about how to apply metaphorical metonymy to the teaching of classical Chinese substantive words in senior high schools by means of chain extension and radiation extension.The fourth part is "the case study of metaphorical metonymy teaching in classical Chinese in senior high school".Taking the four words "jian" "fu" "dang" and "cong" as examples,it presents the teaching examples of classical Chinese substantive words with main teaching links and case analysis,and compares the differences between traditional teaching cases and metaphorical metonymy teaching cases.The fifth part is "the role and influence of metaphorical metonymy on the teaching of classical Chinese notional words in senior high school".It concludes the value of using metaphor and metonymy in the teaching of classical Chinese substantive words.It is helpful for teachers to solve such problems as obscure and difficult real words in classical Chinese,difficult teaching,students won't transfer and apply,time-consuming classical Chinese teaching,and unable to take into account other teaching contents.It is also helpful for students to study systematically and intuitively,improve examination results,improve the level of modern Chinese,improve literary appreciation and Chinese literacy.The sixth part is "the conclusion",which summarizes the contents of each chapter,and mentions some matters needing attention when applying metaphorical metonymy to the teaching of classical Chinese in senior high school.
