In school moral education,Chinese textbooks convey specific moral concepts and values.In March 1993,the Outline of Moral Education in Primary Schools promulgated by the State Education Comrrtission pointed out that the Chinese subject should implement the principle of”unity of literature and Taoism",combine the learning and training of Chinese knowledge with ideological and moral education,and give full play to the educational role of text content.In Chinese textbooks,moral stories are a favorite type of text for children.It embodies the essential characteristics of Chinese textbooks,transmission of truth through words.Moral stories are still of great educational value for a long time.They are an important way of moral education.They concentrate on moral education consensus such as honesty,loyalty,belief,responsibility and self-discipline in the form of moral words.They have unique values of preserving,transferring,sharing and experiencing the wisdom of members of the community.It transmits moral concepts,stimulates moral imagination and disciplines moral behavior with a natural rather than compulsory force,and ultimately guides children to know good,have the desire to do good,and give good deeds.However,moral stories in textbooks show different value orientations in different historical periods,and their evolution and survival of the mainstream trajectory will play an important reference and warning role in the current school moral education.Therefore,this study takes 228 moral stories in three sets of primary school Chinese textbooks published by People,s Education Press(1987s 1993 and 2001)as the research object,and combs and summarizes the main track of the evolution of the value orientation of moral stories in primary school Chinese textbooks since the 1980s.This study is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly elaborates the reason and significance of the topic selection,summarizes the existing related research,and briefly introduces the research object and method.The second part is mainly about the definition of core concepts and the construction of analysis system.Firstly,it defines morality,stories,moral stories and related concepts based on existing research,and screens 228 moral stories in three sets of textbooks.In order to analyze the content of moral story selection,this study constructs an analysis system including an analysis fra?ework and an analysis project.The third part,mainly according to the analysis system,carries on the statistical analysis to the moral story in the primary school language textbook.Firstly,228 moral stories are analyzed according to the three analysis items of character image,story plot and moral education theme,and the value orientation changes of the thiree sets of textbooks are obtained.Then,the evolution of 228 moral stories in the four dimensions of self-oriented morality,others-oriented morality,social civic morality,national civil ethics is analyzed concretely.The fourth part,mainly through the statistics of three sets of textbooks' moral stories,analyzes the stability of moral stories in primary school Chinese textbooks.Statistics show that the distribution of 20 classical texts in four dimensions is as follows:The content stability of national civil ethic is the strongest,followed by self-directed moral dimension,while the content stability of other-directed moral dimension is low,while the social civic morality is not involved.The fifth part summarizes and analyses the evolution and persistent characteristics of the value orientation of moral stories since the 1980s,and looks forward to the future development trend of moral stories in primary school Chinese textbooks.Finally,it comes to the conclusion that:(1)The characterization of the central characters in moral stories has a clear male-centered orientation;(2)the overall orientation of "attaching importance to private morality while neglecting public morality";(3)National citizen morality is the unchanged mainstream value orientation?while social citizen morality is easily ignored;(4)the plot of the story changes from strong political color to ordinary life;(5)from emphasizing political value to cultural value,and then to The value pursuit of coexistence of multiple values changes.Based on this,I think about the future development trend of loral stories in primary school Chinese textbooks:(1)Eliminate prejudice and attach importance to the exemplary role of women;(2)keep pace with the times and enhance the appropriateness of moral stories;(3)attach importance to the cultivation of students' moral thinking ability;(4)It is the proper duty of moral stories to cultivate social citizen morality.
