Professional identity is the internal driving force of someone to engage in a certain profession.The level of preschool teachers' professional identity determines the firm belief that prospective preschool teachers will choose to engage in and be willing to engage in preschool teachers' profession for a long time in the future.While the number of postgraduates in preschool education is increasing and the rank of postgraduates is growing,who have not avoided practical problems such as poor learning adaptability,inability to give consideration to teaching and scientific research,and confusion about future career development due to the advantages of academic qualifications.This situation is not simply due to the lack of competence of postgraduates majoring in preschool education,nor is it due to coincidence and accidental factors.Because of the growth environment,learning experience,personal feelings,attitudes and values of postgraduates.So,what kind of preschool teachers' professional identity does preschool education postgraduates construct?What are the characteristics of preschool teachers'professional identity?What are the reasons for these characteristics?What is the optimal path of preschool teachers' professional identity for postgraduates majoring in preschool education?Based on the above considerations,the study adopts both qualitative research methods and quantitative research methods.The study choose 298 postgraduates majoring in preschool education from Shaanxi Normal University,Shandong Normal University,Northwest Normal University and Northeast Normal University as the samples,and selected five representative postgraduates majoring in preschool education from Shaanxi Normal University and East China Normal University by purposive sampling who are the interviewees of this research.Based on the researches on preschool teachers' professional identity from all over the world,combining with the characteristics of postgraduates majoring in preschool education,the study made a questionnaire on preschool teachers' professional identity of postgraduates majoring in preschool education.With the help of this tool,the research explores the practical level of preschool teachers' professional identity of postgraduates majoring in preschool education,explores the characteristics of preschool teachers' professional identity of postgraduates majoring in preschool education based on the interview materials,tries to explain the reasons behind the characteristics,and tries to explore the realistic path of optimizing preschool teachers' professional identity of postgraduates majoring in preschool education..The result shows that preschool teachers' professional identity of postgraduates majoring in preschool education is on the upper middle level.The scores of five dimensions from high to low are:occupational efficacy,occupational emotion,occupational cognition,occupational values and occupational will.Specifically,preschool education postgraduates' professional identity of preschool teachers has the following characteristics:(1)The external benefits and experience of preschool education postgraduates are the focus of attention and low recognition;(2)There are contradictions between postgraduates' ideal of life and preschool teachers' profession;(3)Postgraduates majoring in preschool education do not attach importance to the significance and promoting role of preschool teachers' profession in social development;(4)Pre-school education postgraduates have low recognition of their own professional competence;(5)Pre-school education postgraduates are reluctant to regard preschool teachers as future professions.In addition,the professional identity of preschool education postgraduates are different in terms of internship,family location,family average monthly income level and father's education level,including:(1)The professional identity of preschool education postgraduates in the first grade are low;(2)The level of preschool teachers'professional identity of preschool education postgraduates who have participated in practice are low;(3)The level of preschool teachers' professional identity of preschool education postgraduates whose families are located in rural,county and prefectural cities are low;(4)The level of preschool teachers' professional identity of preschool education postgraduates whose family average monthly income is 500-8000 yuan are low;(5)The professional identity level of preschool teachers of postgraduates majoring in preschool education whose father are primary school,junior high school,senior high school or junior high school are low.Based on the above characteristics,this study puts forward the following suggestions:(1)Postgraduates majoring in preschool education should strive to strengthen their professional will and improve their professional competence;(2)Universities should focus on formulating reasonable training programs for postgraduates majoring in preschool education;(3)The government should strive to enhance the social status of preschool teachers.
