Zhangjiajie,located in the northwest of Hunan,is a well-known tourist destination in China,which is of unique geographical advantage.In the last few years,with the progressive development of tourism,Sangzhi folk songs became famous overseas as a golden symbol of Zhangjiajie native music.Today,with influence from foreign music,Sangzhi folk songs is under threat for inheritance and conservation.Local government has attached great importance to the Sangzhi folk songs and implemented certain conservative measures,with limited effects.Through research,the author has discovered that school education is still playing a limited role in the art's inheritance,with a small fraction of local school failing to include the Sangzhi folk songs into curriculum.Integrating Sangzhi folk songs into senior high school music class can on the one hand facilitate the inheritance and promotion of music culture,and on the other hand boost students' ability to appreciate music and art.The present study focused on Sangzhi folk songs,particularly the application of Sangzhi folk songs in music class of junior high school,aim to develop an effective method of Sangzhi folk songs transmission in junior high school music classes.Two chapters were included in this study:First,the artistic and teaching values of Sangzhi folk song.This chapter first discusses the artistic value of Sangzhi folk song based on its origin,repertoire type and artistic characteristics.Secondly,the teaching value of Sangzhi folk song is expounded from inheriting and carrying forward Chinese traditional music,promoting music aesthetic teaching and enriching junior middle school music teaching resources.Second,the application of Sangzhi folk songs in Yongding middle school classroom.This chapter firstly expounds the application of Sangzhi folk song inside classroom teaching(the first classroom)of Yongding middle school from three aspects:the selection of teaching content,the arrangement of teaching progress and the selection of teaching methods.Secondly,the outside classroom teaching,music performance and folk song contest three aspects of Sangzhi folk song in Yongding middle school outside classroom(the second classroom)application.Then,feasible suggestions were raised on the existing problems.
