Thailand is one of the representative countries of the "Chinese language fever" in the world.In recent years,with the closer exchanges and communication between China and Thailand in politics,economy,culture,tourism,etc.,teaching Chinese as a second language in Thailand is still developing rapidly.Among them,Chinese teaching at the elementary and middle school level has gradually become the main body of the Thai Chinese teaching system,and has played an important role in the international communication of Chinese.Under the influence of the educational concept of "fun education and happy learning",middle school students in Thailand mostly take interest as the driving force for learning,and enjoy interesting and participatory activities in classroom exercises.Thailand's educational philosophy and the characteristics of middle school students determine that the interest of textbook exercises is very important.Whether the exercises are interesting may have a greater impact on their enthusiasm for learning and the effect of learning.On the basis of sorting out relevant literature,this research selects 1-4 volumes of "Experiencing Chinese Junior Middle School Part"(Thailand Edition),which are representative in Thai Chinese textbooks,as the research objects,mainly using the literature method,data analysis method and questionnaire method for research.Before the investigation and analysis of the textbook,we conducted a questionnaire survey on the learning style of Thai middle school students,and based on this,we developed some specific standards for the interest of exercise in Chinese textbook materials.Afterwards,the research analyzed the exercises in 1-4volumes of "Experiencing Chinese Junior Middle School Part" and tried to summarize the features of this set of textbooks in terms of the interest of exercise from the four perspectives of the content of the exercise,the form of the exercise,the mobilization of students' participation,and the pictures of the exercise.This paper consists of five parts:The first chapter is the introduction,including the reason for the topic selection,the significance of the research,and the literature review.The second chapter is the research design,including the research object,research purpose,research procedure and methods.The third chapter is a survey on the learning style of Thai middle school students,including the basic situation of the survey,the discussion and analysis of the survey results,the discussion of the learning style of Thai middle school students,and the standards for the interest of exercise in Chinese textbook materials.The fourth chapter investigates and analyzes the interest of the exercise of "Experiencing Chinese Junior Middle School Part"from the perspectives of content,form,mobilization of students' participation,and pictures.The fifth chapter is the conclusion of the research.
